Villages across China

Thank you for sharing pictures of these new villages in China. They are very beautiful and clean looking. They kind of remind me of Dalat in Vietnam with the fog in some of the photos.

Although Japanese villages are a lot older than the ones posted of China, the landscapes and structures are very well organized. The ability to maintain its cleanliness, cosmetic appearances as well as it's environment shows off the wealth, organization skills and high degree of discipline of its habitants. It looks as though they have been taking notes from Takashi Osada's 5S (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke) or could it be that Osada himself have learned this from the villagers?

Some newly built houses looks beautiful only for the first 10-15 years. Once they are inhabited by people, whom without a steady income and lack of self-discipline to maintain its beauty, cleanliness and landscapes, the property values will surely decrease. However, judging by what looks like rice fields in some of the photos, the villagers are self sustainable and since they are farmers they are already self-disciplined.

@ChineseTiger1986, my best wishes to China to expand this goal not just towards Northern China villages but to Southern and Western China villages as well.

I wish all villages same to this. But unluckily. NOT.
The village get rich when getting compensate from govt for new projects ( FDI factories for example ). They located on east coast or best place.

That doesn't apply to villages deep inside in the mainland. They don't want lands of those.
So there's no chance for villagers to get rich.
中国农村当然不是每个都这个样子,也有很多贫穷的人家,中国还是发展中国家嘛
Chinese rural of course not everyone like this, there are also many poor families,Chinese or developing countries.

The villages in North China and West China are some of the poorest, thus it needs more focus.

Most villages in South China are quite decent nowadays.

You should say the southeastern coastal areas More affluent rural areas,
In fact, the whole southern inland rural areas Not as good as the north rich.
Because the southeast coast is wealthy, often giving the impression, let not know the real situation of the people think thatthe South than the North rich,

The poorest rural area in South China should be Guizhou, but overall even many inland areas in South China like Hunan and Jiangxi have been vastly improved.

i think u should look at the actual specific data. .
In addition, the South many places have national policies support to development . Northern no.
and Further inland in many places, both North and South, the difference is not large.

These pictures are not true to the whole rural areas in China, 'cause they are newspaper pictures intended for propaganda. Many villages in China have been abandoned, leaving only eldlies and children.

When the villages in the North China become as rich as those in the Changjiang Delta, then I think we have pretty much accomplished our "全国迈入小康社会" goal.

I was shocked by the development of Changjiang Delta when I visited Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai, besides there are also dozens of beautiful and developed small cities as their satellite cities. The cities are more or less the same, I was really impressed by the suburban areas or small counties, like Kunshan, Jiangyin. If the other parts of China one day become like this, we really succeed, because in China there is still 50% population living in suburban or rural areas.

.
I'll give you some reallife pictures of rural China.

The pix are not telling lies or posted for propaganda in accordance with party lines
The folks living there are indeed getting better quality of living

True, some inland cities of Guangdong Province are as poor as hell.

Every province has its pocket of poverty. Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei ...and even in Beijing

There is nothing for us to feel ashamed of. It is a natural process of development
