Well said.The army and air force are used for directly attacking an enemy nation's homeland. China is a land power like Germany, France and USSR. Besides, the reason that navy was strong is that it is the "global commons". Well, space is also a "global commons".
However please note, military paradigm has drastically changed since 1805 Battle of Trafalgar.
After 1805, "land powers" (as you put it) have consistently been on the backfoot and consistently defeated.
For example, Germany lost because it lost the war on seas. It failed to supply its troops overseas, and it failed to get enough fuel to run its "land power".
I can go on and on, about other "land powers".
If you talk about wars before 1805, then you are right.
After 1805-2015, it is totally different.
Now who knows if this paradigm based on Naval power is over and the next war will be under different model such as "Space being global common".
Me thinks the role of space will complement naval power and not replace it.
