Vietnam Steel Association seeks action against U.S. over steel tariff

Well, if Vietnam has trade option other than the US, China probably has ten times more. You know, China is the largest trading nation on earth.

In the first quarter of this year, the US share of China's total trade was about 13%.

Not that much. I suspect Vietnam relies more on the US market (in terms of %) than China does for its exports. Do you anticipate Vietnam's collapse?
10 times blah blah...thats why US feel so easy to bully Cnese cos u guys only look "tough" on internet.

No thing else to say. Just wait till 2023.

.
actually Vietnam steel is doing well because of no import duty by goverment on hot rolled steel
right now Vietnam has very strong position in southeast market , it become almost impossible for us to compete with Vietnam steel price ,my company is facing very hard time from almost last 7 month
It’s a natural development. Vietnam used to import huge steel from China and other countries, now steel imports fall almost to zero. Things will be interesting we export surplus once all our steel mills produce 100 million tons.

Bla bla, yes. To stop the bla bla, just give me numbers as I gave you.

What is the percentage of the US share in Vietnam's total exports (goods and services)?

I gave you numbers for China: 2017, Q1 -- about 13%.

What is Vietnam's?

We will empirically see who depends more.

Then, I will ask you another question: How many countries in the world has Vietnam as their largest trading partner?

But, this question is for later. Do not respond now.

VN Q 1 to US ---abt 20 %, but it will change when Vn can export more to TPP nations.

- "might make right" bro, US need CN remain as good maid since 1979 to clean her dirty trash, so US will force CN's partner to stop helping CN get stronger and help CN quit that Maid job. See how US forces EU to slap sanction on Russia and learn, bro.

US-EU-TPP are all against CN, so we simply dont see any good partners that can help CN economy any more. Even German also need CN to dump her trash, so why should german help CN get rich ??

Thank you, my friend, so, at least for now, Vietnam is dependent on the US market, as well, as much, if not more, as China does.

Then, our task is to reduce it. China has its BRI for that purpose. And you say TPP is Viatnam's golden egg laying goose (although it has not started to lay eggs yet, but you seem to have already begun counting them).

Vietnam should keep the following two in vision:

1. There is a BRI right next door. Work to be an essential cog in the BRI machine.

2. Keep in mind that most TPP countries (at least those with developed economies) are US vassals. How much could Vietnam trust a vassal given that they hardly have a mind of their own?

Brother, might makes right, indeed. That's what we all aim for. Past is past. Do you know in 1979 China's GDP was smaller than that of India? Heck, even in the 1990s, India had a larger GDP.

I agree that the US will ask her vassals to attempt to hurt China's interests. But that would not be new to China, actually. The US does not even give China market economy status.

And, indeed, the Russian case is a strong historical precedent. If what happened to Libya may happen to a developing weak country, what is happening to Russia (although the outcome would not be the same) may happen to China, as well, in terms of concerted Western hostility.

Even German also need CN to dump her trash, so why should german help CN get rich ??

China finally stopped receiving reusable trash from the rest of the world, plastic, paper and metals, my friend. That was the bitter reality we needed to accept. But, now, it is over.

1.BRI ?? We never see how it work yet and US also can destroy your BRI easily.

2. True, Trust is the first casualty, but TPP nations like JP,Sing, Malay, Aussie, NZ etc need VN to contain CN so they need to support strong VN (weak VN cant contain CN). Thats why VN, a poor communist nation,is in TPP now wt strong support from JP, Aussie, NZ .

Thats why we predict that CN will be in chaos in 2023. PLA is just too weak to stop US's bully, PLA soldiers r coward and inexperience. US-EU- TPP will try to push CN back to her Maid job and keep cleaning trash for them.

Only united sub Mekong can help CN to weaken US's power. Thats why Mao support united VN.

You should read the book by Gordon Chang on the coming collapse of China. The key with any prediction business is to not put down any dates.

Otherwise, you are the Vietnamese Gordon Chang.

1.BRI ?? We never see how it work yet and US also can destroy your BRI easily.

1. The US cannot destroy BRI. If they could, they would already try. In fact they tried; you remember how they ordered their little vassals not to join the AIIB? The US regime can only decide not to be part of it. But, you have not seen how it works yet? Ask your VP, my friend? Or, one of your SEA neighbors on the mainland or SCS. They know it.

2. But Malaysia even buys weapons from China. PH is all about BRI. Indonesia signed many contracts with China. Malaysia invites China in Malacca Gateway Project. The list goes on.

United and stable Vietnam is to China's interest. In fact, a stable, prosperous region is in China's interest. Sub-Mekong is still too weak against the US if there was no China. China's is your security guarantee, my friend? What do you really have to defend yourself against the US aggression?

U still dont realize how powerful US is after TW conflict that killed thousand PLA but no US troop die ?? See what happen in Syria and realize that same thing in Syria can happen any time to anyone who join BRI r AIIB and PLA is just too weak to protect BRI members.

How many BRI countries can stop Tomahawk when even the biggest and strongest BRI member, CN, also just a loser to US in TW conflict ??

I just explain why TPP nations need VN, dont go so far bro. JP,Aussie,NZ need VN to contain CN even they r US allies. JP Aussie realize that VN contain CN better than US .

Yep, sub Mekong is still small, but sub Mekong plus TPP, plus Russia will be big enough to worry US while VN also feel more confident in trade war against US.

I honestly suspect that if most TPP nations, forced to choose between VN and the US, would side with VN. Not necessarily because they hated VN, but because they would be fearful of the US.

You know, the US is the most hated regime in the world. But, it still is able to get things done. Love is not required for getting things done.

Bigger and stronger VN benefit to all including CN. CN has nuke bomb, no one dare to invade u, only US feel unhappy with stronger CN, stronger VN-sub Mekong, stronger TPP, so US will destroy CN first.

Russia and TPP nations are smart enough to realize how important VN is in the conflict against US (VN is the only one can defeat US till now), chairman Mao is also know that stronger VN is the only way to weaken US's power. If your Xi dont support VN, then US will happy to bully u for good.

BRI is just another Cn fantasy, no one will join if US threaten them wt Tomahawk.
