Vietnam patrol ship provoke Indonesia Patrol Corvette in Indonesia EEZ

https://e.vnexpress.net/news/news/v...l-time-for-trawling-in-indonesia-3906377.html

It appears that Vietnam actually acknowledged that it was their fishermen that regularly violated boundaries. @Viva_Viet should really be working on that
Of course they acknowlege that.. Vietnam has a recorded history of illegaly fishing in foreign waters for a while now.. The vessels from Vietnam are among the most seized fishing boats in the ongoing crackdown on illegal fishing.. Since October 2014, the ministry has seized or sunk 276 Vietnam-flagged fishing boats for poaching Indonesian waters.

It's such a pathetic move from Vietnam patrol vessel disrupting the Indonesian Navy’s efforts to seize Vietnam-flagged vessels for illegally fishing in Indonesian waters.. The actions could have caused collisions to prompt dangerous maneuvers like that...Indonesian government should be issuing a formal protest against Vietnam government over the incident.

Not even China rammed their ship to Indonesian ship and now this. Ok lads lets discuss what will Jakarta "do" after this, additional muscle build up in Natuna? 1+%gdp defence budget? Or just diplomatic protest?
North Natuna Sea just become hotter.

We should thank the Vietnamese actually, it is about time the Government showcase how economic superiority influences military.

The tensions escalates, interesting. It is proven even here, that indeed diplomacy alone is not enough, and in solving this issue, what's missing here is a B I G S T I C K of ours, still waiting for use to teach some life-lesson to this neighbor about self-awareness.

True. Hey @Viva_Viet tell your uncles, parents, friends, or whoever in your contact list to fish in North Natuna so that Indonesia can nab them, make photo ops out of them.

Keep 'em coming then, our minister do love burning ships and make new coral bases in the ocean.
I bet that the video belong to this incident in Mar, 2019.

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti lambasted the Vietnam Fisheries Resources Surveillance (VFRS) agency for allegedly disrupting the Indonesian Navy’s efforts to seize four Vietnam-flagged vessels for illegally fishing in Indonesian waters.

“We request that Vietnam’s government explain about and apologize for the incident,” said Susi on Monday in Bandung, West Java, adding that she would communicate with Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi about issuing a formal protest against Vietnam over the incident.

The incident took place on Sunday morning when two VFRS patrol vessels — Kiem Ngu 214214 and Kiem Ngu 214263 — allegedly “prompted dangerous maneuvers” to intercept the arrest of the four vessels for fishing illegally in the northern part of Natuna waters in Riau Islands, authorities said.

“The actions could have caused collisions so we warned them more firmly,” said Cdre. Irvansyah, the commander of the Indonesian Navy’s 1st Fleet Sea Battle Group.

The captain of KRI Tom-357 had to shoot a 76-millimeter cannon to drive the two VFRS patrol boats off, he added.
The Navy eventually managed to seize the four Vietnam-flagged fishing boats safely and put them under their custody
.

The four were identified as BV 525 TS; BV 9487 TS; BV 4923 TS; and BVS 525 TS — the first three of which were caught while carrying a total of four cooling boxes full of fish.

Susi said it was not the first such incident in the past few weeks.

Last week, two VFRS boats allegedly tried to stop KP Hiu Macan 01, a vessel owned by the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry’s directorate general of marine resources and fisheries supervision, from arresting four Vietnamese fishing vessels also in North Natuna waters.

The Hiu Macan 01’s captain, Samson, said he decided to release the Vietnamese ships due to safety concerns, citing an incident last year when a Vietnamese coast guard vessel allegedly rammed into a ministry patrol boat — which at the time of the incident was trying to seize a suspected illegal fishing boat.

Nope, the ships are even not the same. Ships you saw in video is of Pattimura class and KRI TOM 357 does not belong to that class.

Anyway VN 267 ships vs ID 0 ships burned. That is a score you can never settle haha

Then it mean thousands VN fishing boats still fishing there days and nights after the incident in Mar , and your navy is still being bullied by VN guard ships ?? hahaha

We should thank the Vietnamese actually.
I agree on this one, also thank to the much bigger country in the north (and also our weird neighbor in the south?), kinda like wake up slap to Jakarta. Being pacifist is good but toothless is not.

The word "Diplomacy" does not exist in viva_viet's copy of Vietnamese dictionary, so it's not a surprise that he doesn't understand the concept. What he understands is that a slap in their faces is a better way communicating with them instead of a peaceful talks over the embassy, no, in viva_viet's language, "talks" means "bad, coward" and "war" means "good, brave". So to communicate with him and his tribe properly, we need to prepare our B I G S T I C K so we'll have one hell of a communication with them.

In the video, Indonesian naval crews freely kicked and bashed through their windows, lamps, basically bullied Vietnamese in their own ships and the Vietnamese just hid below the deck. Kinda feel bad for them really, but since that is the only language they understand, they can expect more kicking and window bashing from Indonesian navy crews.

Oh anyway, their boots are probably supplied by local shoe makers. Do you guys know where I can buy them?

267 vs. 0

Philippines shot dead two VN fishermen and see? Nothing happened, Vietnam will just cower and hide behind their big talks. I bet nothing will come from Vietnam after this incident.

Had to? Nah your vessels are running away backward like your backward country

Vietnam was humiliated in cambodia fighting against sandals wearing peasants. I actually questioned the VPA ability against China.

Vietnam maintained the fifth-largest armed forces in the world, with 1.26 million regular soldiers under arms, 180,000 of whom were stationed in Cambodia in 1984.[83][84]Consequently, the Vietnamese Government had to spend one-third of its budget on the military and the campaign in Kampuchea, despite receiving $1.2 billion in military aid annually from the Soviet Union.
Nonsense. Can you tell me how many men the PLA in the 1970s? the chinese have the largest army in the world in case you don’t know. We faced a two front war, so Vietnam’s aim was to annihilate Cambodia army on the Western flank before turning to the North facing the PLA. The second objective was to end the genocide which was stopped too. If you don’t believe you can check who rules Cambodia today.
