Vietnam installs the largest ever built solar plant

Vietnam shall start anti-China riot for recent spratly island issue and destroyed this factory. It will make vietnam proud. :enjoy:

Our 12000tons coastguard are chasing Vietnam fishboat and going to start drilling. When are you going to attack Chinese in Vietnam?

Another delusion. Why our solar panel is better capacity than German one while lower price tag? Even mighty India bought large number of China solar panel.
Nonsense! we know China is keen to provoke a war, why should we fall into chinese trap?

I don’t know if your solar panel has better capacity. As for cost, you make cheaper thanks to massive production scale. China solar industry has no future. We will make everything cheaper and better. My friendly advice: follow the US. You decrease manufacturing, increase service sector.

:D

That is not what you brag previously. You claim how evil the Chinese is. You shall put your words into mouth by showing Chinese is not welcome in vietnam. Smash their factories and chase them out. Our 12000tons coastguard is still there protect our asset in spratly island against the Vietnamese small fishing boat.

cheap trick. We know several China missile warships are hidden behind coast guards vessels. Riot? you have in HK, why expect in Vietnam?

You need to show your amount of hatre against Chinese for spratly island issue. Kicking them out and burn their factories will be the only option.

Your military cant do anything against PLAN. Burn factories and beat up Chinese in Vietnam will be piece of cake for Vietnam. :enjoy:

.
If I am not mistaken you got solar tech from Siemens. Ok it’s better if we ask Siemens.
that's the difference between pure technology and market. Japan still can make high quality solar panels, but they are out of market.

China balanced technology and price, make a kill.

high-voltage, direct current (HVDC) electric power transmission system is completely different. it's very unique and capital intensive. also very complicated. TOT is not likely.

Very complicated? Ok we will see. Vietnam plans another 12GW solar, 6GW wind power plants.

Relax nobody will burn anybody’s factory. We need more factories not less.

Solar is right way to go, but your power grid needs upgrade. Solar is unstable, it has created power grid overload problem in Vietnam, not possible to increase too much in short term, tbh.

What a lie by you..

Check on link I had posted my kid. Its picture of India solar product in Vietnam internet.

Do you knew why India import so many Made In China solar panels?

Lower price, higher efficiency, more stable and last more years.

Vietnam and India could stop import from China. Its good solution when China is becoming very aggressive. untrusted partner in Asia.:enjoy:

Ok we need money, and time however it’s not complicated as you said.

no, solar power system is not complicated at all. It's mature technology and I totally agree.

What is more complicated is power grid. A flexible, robust, low power loss rate power grid is the backbone of industrialization. India and Vietnam power loss rate is much higher than China.

Solar and wind are not stable power source like thermal power plant, it will be huge challenge. Once you bring 10%+ solar and wind power into conventional power grid, you will meet problems. You need to invest more on power grid, as well as energy storage systems, which are not cheap at all.

Now, you only have 10% solar and wind, your power grid has overloaded already. That's why I said its mission impossible to increase more in short term because lack of investment of power grid and energy storage systems.

In this regards, how much industry you can absorb from China is questionable. Trade war between China and US is good for Vietnam, but how much you can take advantage of it depends on your man power and infrastructure.

Vietnam will benefit a lot if cooperate with China on infrastructure.

The silicon wafer is still from China.

If India could make its own solar it could also make its own semiconductors. The technology is very similar.

China had its own semiconductors starting in the 80's and 90's, with first global fab starting in 2000, and so also manufacturing solar is expected (and which started in 2005).

Vietnam and India have never proven to fabricate semiconductors at scale, so where are the wafers coming from? Where is your equipment coming from?

From time of 1960s semiconductor was fabricated by Hungary, Chexslovakai, CCCP etc . not mention that the west countries ...

China products could be cheap, but quality is not so good....

PetroVietnam Power Joint Stock Corporation (PV Power) has just signed a 600 billion VND credit contract with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporatinon (SMBC).

Signing ceremony

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Ho Cong Ky - Chairman of PV Power's Board of Directors said that, along with electricity production and trading activities, PV Power's financial activities always is one of the important activity.

The Corporation's projects are attractive to domestic and international credit organizations. "beside to the projects have long-term funding, PV Power is always actively seeking competitive short-term funds in the market to ensure solvency", Mr. Ky emphasized.

The representative of SMBC, Mr. Seiji Kato expressed that, the signing ceremony of the VND 600 billion credit contract is the first step to open a long-term cooperation between of two sides.

China has long surpassed eastern block countries in semiconductor, since they don't have any 300 mm fabs. Even Japan doesn't have a 14 nm fab. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_semiconductor_fabrication_plants

Even India only has a single fab, manufacturing 200 mm wafers at 180 nm process node. That's 1990's level.

Even France only have 7 fabs, only 1 of which is 300 mm, and the smallest process node is 32 nm.

Shit, Costa Rica has more semiconductor fabrication capability than Vietnam.

For Vietnam to get to China's level, you must first beat India, Costa Rica, Israel, Ireland, France, Thailand, Germany... If Vietnamese tech is preschool, China is PhD. To get from preschool to PhD, you must first go to elementary school. But Vietnam cannot even go to elementary school.

Vietnam neither has quality nor price. Vietnam products: high price, low quality, and that's if they can be made at all. That's why the only products that Vietnam makes are like shoes, clothes, socks, etc. There's nothing you can do about it. Vietnam is shit at tech, no matter what your little government signs with Japan.
