Vietnam Conducts Air-Ground Military Exercises

. . .
I'm afraid not :(

So to whom you married? A Vietnamese lady as I remember.

You aren't father of An Tây ( Andrea Aybar ), are you?

That third pic is not correct bro, Its mislabeled in the google search, I know because I went through it in the past.
oh...I take it from here:
Việt Nam nâng cấp xe tăng T55M3 . Trung Quốc lạnh gáy | MY VIETNAM
you are right, it shows M-55S1, which stands for the upgraded T55-M3 as model.

by the way, how thick is the armor of chinese tanks? I read the M68/L7 105mm main gun can fire M426 APFSDS, which can penetrade armored protection of 450mm at 2,000 metre distance.

Its not really about thickness anymore, the best tanks today have composite armor, ERA blocks on them that cause the shell to explode before penetrating the armor.
Good antitank missiles penetrate 600 to 800 mm of armor as a comparison and still many of them can't penetrate the armor of top tanks.

The best penetration is done by tandem missile / rocket warheads like the RPG-29.

A 105 mm gun doesn't cut it anymore against top tanks. That's the only issue I have against that upgrade. Its a 50 year old British gun and no matter how good is the ammunition, still, 105 is not as good as 125 mm.

VN should it have done 125 mm like the Pakistani and Bangladesh T-55 upgrades which are based on the Type 59G chinese upgrade. At least 120 mm like the Leopard.

. .
T55 yes with a new israeli 105mm gun. T54 planned but unconfirmed if carried out, though I believe yes. no news about T59.

I see, seems nice. I am curious cuz I think Vietnam still owns a large amount of Type 59 in service.
Reminds me of when Chinese help Tanzania upgrade their old type 59s.
Now in China people have a saying: “远看炮塔吓死人,近看五对负重轮”:argh:
It means the turrent looks so scary & powerful from far away, but observe more detail you'll find out it only has 5 pairs of road wheels (To hint that's a type 59)

ok, that is clear. so RPG-29 appears to be a solution as long as the army does not have money for modern tanks. Really weird, it has more firepower than old tanks as T55M3. here a pic with the defence minister, RPG29 with armor piercing granate PG-29V, thick armor of 650mm is not a problem.

I read RPG-29 can even penetrate Merkava, M1A2 and Challenger-II. and of course this poor tank T-72 in Sylria civil war. pretty cool. cheap and effective.
