Vidya Balan in love with Pakistani dramas

I haven't watched a single Pakistani drama for don't know how many years now. Last one I remember is "Aanch". I don't feel any attraction, its the same in every drama "Ishq" ya phir "Mazloom Aurat" ya phir "Rona Dhona".

Versatility like Moeen Akhtar, Rahat Kazmi, Shakeel, Qawi, Jameel Fakhri, Abid Ali, Tauqeer Shah, Jamal Khan etc and many females actresses is missing.

One thing I hate most is Humayun Saeed abay yeh sala her nai larki kay sath q hota hy? Kab bhuda ho ga yeh.

I feel you. Its been ages since I watched a Pakistani drama properly. As for Indian dramas, lets not even go there. No wonder they like our stuff lol.

Flop and would be a super flop. Do u even know they have selectd that Pappu Fawad Khan as Maula Jutt!!!!:yahoo::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They will literally rape the cult classic.
Instead of trying to remake this movie with talented cast they are going for star power. This is again something very common. If a person is gorra chitaa and and has got the looks, even thou they cant act they get famous.

Game of Thrones
Yea, advertising soft **** and making people ok with it is way better ..... :tsk:

Vampire Diaries
How is that nor revolving around woman?

The Walking Dead
Fantasy but god forbid a boy and girl fall in love and have a fantasy of a life on screen!

Watched it but it soon became a drag!

Like I said before, stick to Hollywood apparently you see nothing else!
Supernatural and other fantasy based serials which are way more popular than these love stricken Pakistani dramas.
Yet you have a problem ONLY with Pakistani drama... and their story lines :tsk:

like what??

edit : and what kind of society??
Read any psychology of teenagers 101 or even child psychology 101! BOTH parents shape a child...Absence of even 1 DOES have an effect and it is documented well enough to quote it!

.
also, @haviZsultan had introduced me to the pakistani socialist band, laal, and one of their songs 'inqalab' :

it would be fair to say that satire songs and observation songs are best done by the socialist. :D

but that is no answer. :)

i wanted your understanding of it... this is a discussion forum after all and not a desi college where one is told to read by themselves instead of being explained to and a discussion ensuing.

'the communist manifesto' of 1848 spoke of abolishing the traditional family system entirely and in my interpretation of this 1848 desire the scientific application will have children being raised in a nursery until the natural adult age of 13 or 14 when they will be alloted their own houses and will be given full responsibility to put some of the day hours in a neighborhood collective work area ( like a 'vertical farm' or the nursery ), some hours in a town-level collective work and the rest hours to themselves.

so via the manifesto of communism ( from the word 'commune' ), while the father figure still will remain, the system will be very different from the traditional family.

if your sources speak of the traditional family within a capitalist, non-collectivist scenario then they are unscientific or at least temporary.

did you participate in such marches??

nice and evocative.

the lyrics i had recognized at the start as being of iqbal... the poem is included in my copy of 'shikwa' and 'jawaab-e-shikwa'.

and this revolutionary activism is the background in pakistan that not many know of.

The point behind giving the examples of few of these popular English shows was to enumerate the fact that people do love watching shows which offer diversity other than the "Love crap"---------Which is the the only topic found on Pakistani drama's. Presenting women and love isn't the issue, its the central concept that is fixated on love/marriage and some innocent character that is. Pakistani drama's don't offer anything beyond that. Seen any Pakistani drama on psychological issues which didn't involve a girl striving for a guy or vice versa? Hamasafar, the girl committed suicide, why? Because she couldn't have the man she wanted lol. Do they bother to show a person with OCD/ADHD/Asperger and how that person tries to adjust in life without focusing on a girl/guy in his/her life? When they will do that your stance that Pakistani drama's are a depiction of society will be accepted, but till then they are nothing but only designed to appeal to women.

.
they cant, to begin with. Marring hindus is illegal in islam for female n male.

Sir he used the word 'indian' not 'hindu'. Indian can be Muslim as majority of Muslims live there. Same many non Muslims work in Pakistani dramas. World is changing and distinction is decreasing day by day. You'll find people of all communities in a country.

Only Arabs that don't give nationality to other people.

And anyone watching the "English shows" can like you point out the love stories embedded in them ...over the actual story as you showcased on your knowledge of the Pakistani drama....Basically, you manage to find a story in English tv serials although they can be doused in love stories...but fail to find any in Pakistani dramas but the love story
Lets keep it to that! :enjoy:

I am not here as a mother to teach a child nor as a Psychologist...If you can google billions of mins looking for weird things on the net I think you can make good use of your time in reading proper research papers!

i wanted your understanding of it... this is a discussion forum after all and not a desi college where one is told to read by themselves instead of being explained to and a discussion ensuing.
It is not just desi collages that do that...ample time is given in Western collages for self studies too..

the scientific application
There is nothing scientific about it...

natural adult age of 13 or 14
Socially 13 or 14 is not even an adult age in today's era it can be equated to the 10th century's 8 yr olds! In the olden times 13 or 14 yr olds were soldiers -

So yesterday's children are not the same as todays!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/08/calvin-graham-12-year-old-veteran_n_2434215.html

still are in some of America's programs - hence why they dont mouth about the world child soldiers as their own program enlists younglings!

http://inthesetimes.com/article/3199/americas_child_soldier_problem

In violation of its pledge to the United Nations not to recruit children into the military, the Pentagon “regularly target(s) children under 17,” the American Civil Liberties Union(ACLU) says.

The Pentagon “heavily recruits on high school campuses, targeting students for recruitment as early as possible and generally without limits on the age of students they contact,” the ACLU states in a 46-page report titled “Soldiers of Misfortune.”

How did that go? We are still paying for the ills of the previous century while creating our own set of shit for the next generation to handle!

Unlike you I dont stick to a label.....I stick to research and reporting not to stupid human experiments and then claim it natural or scientific!

Today's children are not like yesterday! Heck today's adults arent either!

Its not about that. Anyways lets leave it. U didnt understood the gist of my post.

Well anyone who has seen a little bit of the serials in the 90's can EASILY say that the drama industry of ours even though expanded and all -- but quality wise, it has been slipping -- I remember dramas like lagg, sunehra din, Alpha Bravo Charlie, heck even dramas with a romantic plot felt qualitatively alot better --- just look at Chandni ratain for example. I suppose it felt that was because there was alot more diversity in the subject matter that our drama industry touched.

Now it's all the same, where we have a similar romantic plot with difficulties that a couple face in the society + a love triangle typa stuff + Sass bahu drama. Nothing against that, because that is a PROVEN formula to get alot of good numbers as a result.

But personally, I feel that the hollywood serials on the other hand have ALOT MORE then simply your romantic plots even though more or less everyone of them has a romance story in it. Just look at their comedy shows like crowded, better with you, friends with better lives, Rules of engagement etc.-- All of them are having romantic sub plots, or being flat out having romantic plots but the way they are done, the way every character is worked out and executed make them alot more then just another serial with a "romcom plot" -- Come to more serious serials like the strain, lucifer, game of thrones, the walking dead -- while every one of them has a romantic sub story line in them, they are about alot more then just the romance and are not recycling the same thing over and over again which is why they are seen as fresh and original ...

I would love to watch the Pakistani dramas once again, if they wide the array of the subject matter that they touch and mix things up...
