Forget the Chinese trolls, notice no Pakistanis here? Our “ummet” and “dost” ulke lol
What do you guys expect, Turks and Ummah is a one way relationship, when ummah is in need Turks help and become a voice at least but we don’t want or need help from the “ummet”
I’m telling you Turks here again, wake up!
lol - I keep hearing Pakistani members who don't like the concept of Ummah saying the same thing.
This might be the Turkish section, but it is a Pakistani forum - maybe you'd like to do a search on the word "Uighur" - see how many topics there are. See who is posting them and who has been talking about the issue. Just because your PM decided to take a vocal interest now, doesn't mean we have been ignoring the issue.
Our PM talked about this months ago, our religious affairs minister bought it up with the Chinese too, some of our politicians have been on a tour of the region.

You are right though - we aren't an ummah. We are nation states who look out for our own interests. We are also weak nation states, who bow their heads before the mighty. The only difference is you live in the American camp, we live in the Chinese camp. You can speak out against the Chinese as it doesn't impact you. Similarly we'll sit around criticising Americans, because they don't give us any benefit. That is of course unless the Americans threaten us, at which point we will fall in line, like we did post 911. This is the life of weak nations.
It's a shameful place to be - at least you are working yourselves out of it. Maybe in 50 years time, you'll be able to have sincerity and balance in your foreign policy; like truly independent nations. I hope so.
I hope I live to see a day when we acknowledge this weakness and try to work together for strength, perhaps pretend at least to be an "ummet". Small steps in the right direction, might lead us to the place where we can take long strides!
