Everyone should have the right to choose and live freely. Which means break moral behavioral tenets of Islam if they so wish. HuT preachers that such people are apostates and apostates are eligible to be killed so you do the math, they will get people killed.

Hence in arresting such people, the state would be justified.

HuT would have to be more tolerant that I think is a fair argument. These things can be modified. I'm not neccessarily a HuT supported though they fare better than any Pakistani party by far.

These people aren't extremist they are University students, professionals, low, middle, and upper class, and more. I think at the very least HuT should not be banned in Pakistan, let the people decide for themselves whether they like the party.

On the one hand you advocate for secularism on the other hand you say parties must obey the constitution as is, meanwhile the Pakistani constitution isn't secular and in fact opposes secularism.

Also constitution is a living document there are legal methods such as legislation that can change the constitution.

They act in accordance with the law. Due to party interest the establishment have banned them, they were banned during Musharraf's era.

It's easy for you to say my way is legal way and of course your way is illegal, when that is not the case at all. In fact HuT have been saying this all along they are a grass roots movement and advocate the people change their government legally.

But clearly if the arrests are true and they have asked for Kayani to be toppled, then that disproves your theory.

The right way would be for them to get a ticket from the EC and win majority seats and then make legislation as they want.

Then only PhD and Graduates should be governed. Unless you had free education system (of quality) you cannot say that. Because what is the fault of the poor man who is smart but just didn't have enough resources to study and graduate?
