There is no bad intention what so ever behind calling Indian as Bharti in Urdu

In Urdu or at least in Urdu spoken in Pakistan its common practice to end a word with i or (choti "ye" in Urdu) to represent belonging to.

Like

Greece is Unan Greek is Unani

America is Am-re-ka American is Am-re-ki

China is Cheen and Chinese is Cheeni. Cheeni also means sugar in Urdu :P

Japan is Japan and Japanese is Japani

Britain is Ber-tania British is Ber-tanvi

France is France but French is Fran-ci-ci

So since India is called Bharat.Indian=Bharti in Urdu

a sri lankan - a sri lanki??
a person form Maldives - maldivi??
a german - germani ??

Ok so can we use the urdu of China from now on in the forum?

Or can I use the slang of my local language here in the forum now on???

This is a Pakistani Defense Forum with English being the language of communication. But since its a Pakistani forum you will have to bear with certain relaxation in rules specially for Pakistani members. Like you may find some members posting some part of their post in Urdu(written in roman characters). So you have to bear this. This is small price to pay for the good environment this forum provides for discussions on even sensitive topics. I think you are aware of what goes on in Indian equivalents of this forum.

As for the use of Bharti.I want to ask you how many members use it regularly.I think there won't be many.So whats the big deal

Using Cheeni for Chinese I have no issue.

Now lets stick to the topic.sorry mods
