According to the big shrimp from HSH, the Type 052D gonna have a full displacement of over 9000 tons, the 6800 tons figure is maybe its standard displacement.

There's absolutely no way it's going to have a 9000 ton displacement if its standard is 6800; the cruiser is rumored to be built a few years later.

The Varyag also visited Vancouver last year. My friend actually got a bracelet from one of the sailors. Unfortunately I didn't go on the tour.

No, but the general consensus on SDF is that there will be a Type 052D and then a rumored Type 058 cruiser. BTW, where did you hear that the 052D will be 9000 ton and how old is that rumor?
