Varanasi court allows ASI survey of Gyanvapi Mosque, located next to Kashi Vishwanath Temple

If the Mosque was built on a Hindu temple then clearly it is illegal. Whether it upsets some Indians or not is not the deciding factor.

And if upsetting Indians is the benchmark of decisions, then odds are that if it does turn out that the mosque was built by razing a temple, then a lot more Indians would be upset if it is not restored.

Also, you should know that gurudwaras were not built by demolishing temples.
If this was done 20 odd years ago then ok knock down the mosque and build a mandir on the site but this is centuries we talking about . I know that gurdwaras were not built by demolishing mandirs but this will cause tensions between both Hindus and Muslims this is not right

What aurangzeb did cannot be declared "illegal" by modern statutes. What a load of horse shitt you people spout.

Exactly... Just like when Hari Singh left Kashmir to India. It's not illegal because that person is not alive.

Lol. What to Dalits, Kaaba and Cow Dung have to do with the Varanasi mosque issue. Nothing... unless you are a pdf poster that is.

Was a Hindu temple demolished and a mosque built on top of it? ....That is the question here. That is what the supreme court is asking. Anything beyond answering this simple question is out of scope.
Believe me, its just started next is the Krishan janabhoomi temple issue where also they constructed a mosque in temple, then Bhoj Shala .

It's a very basic question if a Mosque is constructed after demolishing the temple or not ???
I really wish Muslim start protests in UP against the court order ??

Bhoj shala

For the past few years, under the guise of access, the Muslim neighborhoods around the Gyan Vyapi mosque are being cleared. Muslims are being told to relocate to another area of Varanasi. When Muslims will not be living around the mosque, the attendance will dwindle to a trickle.

With the ASI survey now, access to the mosque will be further limited under "safety" or "ASI guidelines". With no worshipers at the mosque, another case of adverse possession will be filed, and the same script will be enacted as in the Babri Masjid case.
:police:8-)

So move them. We live in the 21st century where there are trucks and hydraulic jacks. They moved tons of egyptian ruins during the Aswan Dam construction.

With modern technology anything can be moved and improved.

Or we can build a much larger and newer mosque a little out of the way to replace this one.

Temple has been destroyed a long time ago, it's history

It is a mosque
It's historical mosque at that
It has been a mosque for hundreds of years
It is being used by indian Muslims as a mosque
Worship is ongoing
Tenu musalmaana di badi fikar peyi hoyi hai. Chache lagde ne tere o.

Hindutva Extremism is a threat to Sikhs included, it's why they are waking up and pushing back too

BTW I'm not a Hindu.

Its not the mosque.... its the actual spot that is in dispute. That was where Krishna was born.

Then allow Hindu to worship Krishna in the mosque.

It doesn't matter what it is now and whether or not it is historical or in use. If it is proved that it was built on temple land, the mosque will be removed and, hopefully, relocated.

India: People mistook toilet for temple, pray in front of it
People believed the locked toilet was a temple and no one bothered to clarify

UP toilet
"The building that is located in the premises of the community health centre, was painted saffron and shaped like a temple. People believed it to be a temple and no one bothered to clarify. It was only recently that an official told us that it was actually a toilet," said Rakesh Chandel, a resident.
