What is so hard in finding one?

Really, the girls are sitting there waiting for you are they. There are no social issues.
If you are 18 and horney and no job.....just go marry.....

Please come on man

.
Valentine day should be renamed "Tharkii day" ;)

.

So sad.............. so you don't have a pair of hands? Either get employed or use your hands. Simple. Using hands is still better than trapping and raping an innocent girl in some hotel/ guest house just because you are feeling horny at 18.

I am thankfully married
But I am talking for the general young man.
Talking like .....so you don't have hands shows you have no idea how to get a job in pakistan.
Pay starting salary maybe 15 or at best 20 thousand. Can you get married on that. Where will you live....with mummy. Downey. I could go on.
I am not against what the guy said about not v celebrating valentines day as I don't but you cannot force people.
Regarding groping and raping well that happens in societies where there is ban on all sexually activity.

So when you decide to argue look at what I wrote before going off at a tangent

may be call it rumi day or amir khusro day... tonnes of urdu poets to choose from.. and they got islamic credential too..
That's Ishq e haqiqi.
Nothing to do with Tharki bazi

. . .
People should do whatever they want to do, but valentines day is of no benefit.

. . .
if you are of the opinion that marriage is much more than looks, then simply looking at girl from distance and sending a message is not enough, right?
How confident are you that your parents and her parents who will act as a medium will keep your(and girl's) interest and happiness as primary objective in their mind...
nice talking to you too... this is probably the best way to spend valentine day.. ha ha.. not crying at all... let me put 3 smileys to emphasize :) :) :)
:D :D Attempting to throw in a curve ball I see ... FYI You can have conversations to get to know each other in presence of a third party. As far as getting to know the character of a girl/ guy, hate to break it to ya buddy ... but even in the dating scene, when you have a couple living together for 2-3 years and then the dude proposes to the girl. Countries where this is the basic concept behind love and relationships ... it still generates high divorce rates e.g. 70 odd percent in the US, which is mostly filed by the females and the usual premise of the reasoning is .. "he changed" "he wasn't who I thought he was" "he/she cheated" .... People can mask their character for years, and when they start to take each other for granted, only then do their true colors show.

In addition, you have to look at it holistically. In tight knit communities, people usually know each other, their characters and the sort of life they live, their reputation as a family etc. In Pakistan, you can ask the old timers here, the process of researching out potential candidates for their daughters and sons. I've personally seen a family request a relative who was a university professor to ask around about a guy who had studied in his university. People usually go to relatives and the people they know, living in communities near to where the guy or gal who proposed lives, to ask around and stuff. Those are I guess the ideal conditions. An other check includes the responsibilities given to men and women respectively. A third check would be the elders who serve as problem solvers if a problem arises in the relationship.

As far as parents/ elders/ mediums having the happiness of the guy and the gal as their primary objective ... Well it's literally their responsibility. You have to remember, in a nikkah (islamic marriage ritual), you are asked aloud, if you want to marry that person three times, and you have to say yes each time for it to proceed. So, alot of checks and balances are put in place which protect both the guy and the gal .
