Best option for "temporary" basis would be SCO which include China, Central Asia and Russia agree to send forces to occupy Wakhan corridor and some part of North Eastern Afghanistan and build a economic corridor to link Central Asia to Pakistan. That's a terrible idea. From liberator of Afghanistan to forigen occupiers, you are suggesting to give America and India feild day in their propaganda and fifth generation warfare against all neighbouring SCO states with Pakistan again taking the brunt.

My understanding is that China has already got proper infrastructure build with central Asian states, all that is needed is political approval from all concerned , then it's a matter of routing all trade traffic from "stans" in China , to KKH and down to karachi and Gawdar.

This will also make clear to Kabul regime that their silly shenanigans will make them redundant sooner then later. Since there has been a flurry of officials coming from central Asian states to Pakistan, it can be deduced that they are getting fed up with Afghanistan and need access to Arabian sea, come what may.

The annexation theory doesn't sit well in todays scenario.you have Geneva conventions where all usurped lands are returned.
The model is make new smaller states and have your men sit there and follow your say.

This is a very important point. Pak establishment has not worked on this because they probably fear for their own stability, but this should have been an option too. If hindutva india can create Bangladesh, why cant Pakistan create a buffer nation in Afghanistan?

Another reason could be Afghan Taliban's reluctance to divide Afghanistan.

Some time ago a British MP discussed a proposal to divide Afghanistan into 9 kingdoms with each being under the protection of a foreign power.

Afghanistan will always be a tug of war. So, solution is as you accurately assessed is dividing the country into at least zones of influence. Border provinces with Pakistan must have Pakistan's influence.

i thought koh e kaaf was considered, Armenia, georgia, azerbijan area and a bit north of it.

I do not think Afghanistan will be peaceful next 100 years to enable uninterrupted transit trade, so it is just wishful thinking. Pakistan is just wasting time with this pipe dream. On the other hand this region cannot be hostage to Afghan peace and wait any longer to gain its true potential. A detour through China is too far and clumsy to make transit trade profitable. Also KKH is out of usage during winter, it needs a huge investment to make it round the year pliable. Only solution is SCO with or without Afghan consent carve out a trade corridor through Afghanistan. Afghan government or who ever group in power or control around the corridor can be bribed or paid fee for transit. Around Wakhan corridor is most suitable as it is thinly populated and security can easily be arranged there than through middle part of Afghanistan. Another option is Tajikistan, China, Pakistan with cooperation and consent of SCO "take control" or buy it out from Afghanistan of Wakhan corridor to create this trade corridor.

Uzbekistan exports a lot of cotton to India, if this corridor is completed or secure road access is established, Pakistan should see if it can get the cotton to come tonPakistani textile mills instead. Potentially Lower transportation costs should help make it a more financially viable offer to the Uzbeks.
