They can also put pressure on other countries not to trade with Pakistan.

Its not that black and white. After all, US had allowed them to open a diplomatic office in Qatar some years back. Taliban, whether you like them or not (not a big fan myself), are a reality of the Afghan political landscape. They are the past ruler of that country. And they are the locals, not some foreign force. Any settlement in Afghanistan would be void without there participation. So if Pakistan has any contact with them, it is justified for these reasons.

Russia is sanctioned, but China is not sanctioned for trading with Russia.

The US has collected information for years.
Their comments indicate they have all the proof they need internally,
but may withhold presenting the proof for various reasons.

They are obviously reaching the point where the next straw breaks the camels back.

Only Pakistan and US knows what the real truth is.
What is obvious for external parties is that many Pakistanis on PDF consider the US an enemy and rejoices in anything that they consider a setback for the US.
Many run propaganda campaigns accusing the US of one ridiculous thing after another.

If USA wants to stay in Afghanistan why would they bash Pakistan because they cannot stay in Afghanistan with out Pakistani support and they know it. Iran Pakistan Russia and China are all on same page on Afghanistan the six nation conference was on the issue. So either Trump knows nothing what he is doing or Trump is just playing a flook here. Because it is a well known fact USA cannot stay in Afghanistan and fight Iran and Pakistan at the same time it is too difficult.
