It is not the " government " that rules Iran but the supreme leader and he alone decides who can run for election. In on the one occasion that one candidate that did not follow the supreme leader line , got elected - Mousavi - they faked the results and put the Supreme leader candidate instead.

I do not know where you got the notion that Iran is a democracy. It is a dictatorship in every sense of the word. Not only that , it is an islamic dictatorship , which means that Iranian are ruled by the supreme leader and his mullah bodies as well as being supported by a sharia influenced constitution that gives the mullah dictators even more excuse to tighten their grip on their people.


You should listen carefully to what those Iranian protestors are chanting. They are not chanting " please replace the democratically elected government " , but - death to the dictator ...

It is iranians that want to throw of their own government take your grievance with them.

If you want to support the mullah regime that is your business , but don;t go making silly statement like Iran is a democracy and its government is democratically elected , cause this is simply not true.

True most of the middle east is made out dictatorships and i am not happy about that too. But non of them misuse religion to justify their dictatorship nor try to misuse religion to expand their influence - as they do in Lebanon , Yemen , Iraq and syria. What business do they have their ?
