Mike Mullen said that the Al Zawahiri and Al-Qaeda were still a threat to the United States.

Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen warned the new Al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al Zawahiri to expect a similar fate to his slain predecessor Osama Bin Laden.

Addressing the media in Washington, Mike Mullen said that the appointment of Al Zawahiri as the new Al-Qaeda chief was not surprising because he was the strongest candidate after Bin Laden. He said that the US will also find and assassinate Al Zawahiri like they did with Osama Bin Laden.

ok kill him, a new leader will take over, kill him too, a new leader will take over, kill him, and again new leader will take over, this war will never end like this.

Well, he's not going to be an easy target. He'll give us a good chase.

Unlike bin Laden, who spent the past six years holed up behind the penitentiary-like walls of his Pakistan safe house, al-Zawahiri is a moving target. "His business cards are left all over the place," says South Asia expert Michael Semple, a fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School.

He sure likes to talk a lot though.

Yet, even on the run, al-Zawahiri can't keep quiet. Since 2006, he has broadcast 22 anti-Western video sermons on the Internet, compared with a single appearance by his late boss.

I'd just like to ask americans:

Who has personally harmed you more: Al Qaeda, or your own government?

Who stole your money: Al Qaeda, or your own government?

When your funds are stolen by corrupt politicians, when Mexican drug dealers kill yet another American, when your public infrastructure is in disrepair because the funds have been spent on the politicians infrastructure, who has harmed you more, Al Qaeda or your government?

When you can't afford to go to the hospital, who has harmed you more: Al Qaeda, or your government?

When your family lives on welfare stamps due to the Wall Street induced economic depression, who has harmed you more: Al Qaeda, or your government?

Well since some Chinese official just stole 150 billion dollars of your money. I would say that the Chinese govt. is your enemy right now eh? Al Qaeda or your govt? Your Chinese govt. also thought it was a big threat to China. Guess not.

The discussion is on the US right now. China has never made any statements regarding Al Qaeda's leadership.
