Whoever will be in power after Hasina will come to serve US interest and US interest will require them to do nothing that might affect Indian interest
Did it occur to you America might want the opposite sometimes ?

But, also note that even SA has American bases somewhere under a defense treaty.
After a real election if BAL falls, China will know it is no more supreme in BD and its efforts to intimidate America and India by building a corridor via MM will not succeed. Some visits and exercises are acceptable to me as long as we can maintain a relationship with the Chinese by taking them into confidence.

But, I do not think America will veto any non-lethal BD relationship with China. Non-lethal means, BD does not support any Chinese adventure to intimidate India in India's NE.
America will not veto BD trade with China. This is what I think. Nowhere else, America did it unless it imposes its own sanctions on a country. Then it is for all other countries to follow..

Of course, Bd cannot accept colonialism. But, the entire ME including SA was under non-Arab powers including also Turkey. All other countries were under British and France.

Turks were the Osmani Khilafah, it was not imposing imperialism in ME since all of ME was Muslim. Anyway, we digress.
Reading your thread makes me even more determined to keep fighting for Hasina.
You lot are as deluded as the anti Saddam and anti Gadafi mob.
Absolutely no plans beyond the coup!!!
You will send the country back by 60 years!
Lucky for you that you managed to determine that Hasina should stay, you have peace of mind.
Lucky for the others who managed to determine Hasina should go, they also have peace of mind.
Unlucky for me that I failed to determine whether Hasina should stay or go, I don't have peace of mind. Because Hasina staying or someone else replacing her seems to be no different, none of the choices are good choices as far as I am concerned.
Although, I would love to see Hasina, her son, her daughter, her relatives and BAL cronies mercilessly being slaughtered and hung to dry.
This is the first time I hear that Americans will be coming to BD to vote against Hasina during the election time.I think US wants to see some religious violence in Bangladesh, by bringing Hasina's opponents in power.
Another day, another conflict.
Problem with dreamers like you is that you dream of a clean cut leader in a cesspit called South Asia!
South Asia will get clean leaders when people themselves are clean.
And please give me a break!
Don’t blame BAL-BNP for average Abdul being uncouth.
Just look at the way first generation Bangladeshis behave in the west. The buggers cannot even run a masque without infighting!!!
South Asians lack the basic characteristics to be good citizens:
1. Tolerance of plurality
2. Adherence of the rule of law
3. Understanding of basic civics
You cannot put the cart before the horse!
You have defeated your own argument why Hasina should stay in power.
If BD can't hope to get clean leaders then how does it matter whether Hasina stays or someone else replaces her? Both options are same.
Eh! No!
Only she has proved capable of managing Bangladesh’s THREE demons:
1. Wahhabism
2. Military
3. Balancing India, US and Chinese interest and maximising BD’s leverage.
Her father, Zia clan, Ershad and other assortment of idiots turned Bangladesh into a basket case.
The wannabe idiots in the wings would be overwhelmed!
Zia couldn’t even control his officers.
Mujib couldn’t control the communists and socialists.
