Whoever will be in power after Hasina will come to serve US interest and US interest will require them to do nothing that might affect Indian interest

It's not an impossibility but I don't have any info suggesting that. If that is the case, even that's a bad situation because I don't want bad relationship with India either at the behest of America.

Some visits and exercises are acceptable to me as long as we can maintain a relationship with the Chinese by taking them into confidence.

After a real election if BAL falls, China will know it is no more supreme in BD and its efforts to intimidate America and India by building a corridor via MM will not succeed.

But, I do not think America will veto any non-lethal BD relationship with China. Non-lethal means, BD does not support any Chinese adventure to intimidate India in India's NE.

America will not veto BD trade with China. This is what I think. Nowhere else, America did it unless it imposes its own sanctions on a country. Then it is for all other countries to follow..

Even if BAL falls and there is an election, it will not be a real election. It will be a show and someone will come to power with a tacit understanding with the US. There will be NO REAL election in BD but there will be "an Election".

There is nothing wrong with China trying to intimidate America or India. No problem whatsoever, it is actually the need of the hour.

US wants a minus China policy.

Which means BD cannot benefit from China’s huge financial power.

And you should never put all your eggs into ONE basket.

The best thing about the current situation is that Bangladesh is maximising benefits from all the powers.

Without China - BD will be reduced to alms in the form of WOKE initiatives and disaster recovery.

Once US gets in you will NEVER get them out. E.g. Pakistan.

And US is not shy about using the Mullahs as proxy.

Lucky for the others who managed to determine Hasina should go, they also have peace of mind.

Unlucky for me that I failed to determine whether Hasina should stay or go, I don't have peace of mind. Because Hasina staying or someone else replacing her seems to be no different, none of the choices are good choices as far as I am concerned.
