Pakistan's leaders needs to learn from Iranian leaders.

Thank you for the video, it was really informative.

gambit,

You have lost. Admit it. US air force admits it. The virus was there. They could not get rid of the virus and the drone is in Iran. Technical? Yeah, you bet. Writing a virus that can land a super stealth drone in Iran is very technical.

Then Iran should have no problems providing visual evidences. How long did it took the Serbs to post images of them dancing on the F-117's wreckage? And that was how long ago...??? Yeah, bring on those 'technical details', buddy. You are as empty as your arguments.

Dude, Pentagon has admitted the drone is in Iran, they even were contemplating to go in Iran and recover it but then were scared of Iranian army so they just admitted the loss. As for pictures, I would like to see them too, but it is upto Iranians whether they want to show them or not. As for Serbia it was in the middle of a war and they needed the boosted morale the pictures provided. Here it is not the case. Anyway, in due time you would probably see the pictures of Iranian made RQ-170 flying over Tel Aviv.

Where in that piece does it say it was brought down by Iran?

They did not need to say it outright. CIA has fallen silent in shame. But they have inferred it and any one with common sense can see, Iranians are saying the truth.
Common sense lesson for you:
You see a sophisticated highly automated robot, such as RQ-170, does not go rogue and land in Iran just because it feels like it. Robots have no feelings. Robots generally have no feelings so they do not become a friend or a traitor. They just follow the orders given to them. Until a virus changes those orders and replace it with new ones. This is the case here and enough US official statements are out there to check.

Regardless of whatever USA say the Iranians should not show the captured or damage drone.

At one point USA is saying that they have lost the drone and at other hand they are saying that they have no indication that Iran shot down the plane. Why they are not saying what drone they have lost on the eastern side if according to them they have lost it.

What I think scares US the most, is two things:

1. Iran, and soon after Russia/China will have more effective B2/F22/F35 tracking and targeting, thats a massive blow to US air superiority.

2. If RQ-170 was indeed hacked, that means Iranians managed to penetrate through several layers of defense and cracked an encryption. US air force uses (I assume) similar safety measures and same encryption for fighters as well. If Iranians got through to the drone, they will be able to hack in the bombers, etc, that scares US to death :triniti:

Also it was funny how US downplayed the fact Iranians got the drone - "2 years old is considered outdated" Their currently the most advanced F-22 is 14 years old, now thats Flintstones era stuff :azn:

Some speculation that the recently delivered Russian Kvant 1L222 Avtobaza ELINT systems could be involved in whatever happened

Could this be the smoking electron in the alleged unmanned air vehicle (UAV) incident over Iran?

The original reports that Iran "shot down" a Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel appear to be misleading. Iranian news agency reports credited the army's electronic warfare unit with bringing down the UAV, but apparently in a way that limited the amount of damage on landing or impact.

Only six weeks ago, Russia announced delivering the Avtobaza ground-based electronic intelligence and jamming system (shown above) to Iran. Most Russian weapons exports to Iran are blocked, including the proposed transfer of the S-300 surface to air missile system. But there is a key difference between a SAM battery and a jamming system. The S-300 can vastly complicate a strike on an Iranian nuclear site at Natanz or Qoms. A jamming system, such as the Avtobaza, is unlikely to be used to defend such a site because it could interfere with the radar of the S-300 or the Tor-M1 SAM battery.

The Avtobaza, moreover, is designed to jam side-looking and fire control radars on aircraft and manipulate the guidance and control systems of incoming enemy missiles. It would be the perfect tool to target and perhaps infiltrate the communications link that allows a UAV to be controlled from a remote location.

The incident, of course, has not been confirmed with visual evidence of the allegedly captured RQ-170. Unlike 50 years ago, when the Soviet Union shot down the Lockheed U-2, the Iranians will not be able to produce a captured Francis Gary Powers. In 1961, the Soviets appeared to destroy their credibility by releasing imagery of the wreckage of the wrong aircraft -- a luckless MiG possibly shot down by mistake in the fusillade aimed at Powers' U-2. When the Soviets produced Powers, who survived and was captured, the world finally had undeniable proof.

So there is no script in the propaganda textbook for these kinds of incidents. They tend to evolve in their own way. Iran may never produce evidence to back up their claims, or they might later today.

Interestingly, the International Security Assistance Force has made no effort to deny Iran's claims. Instead, the NATO headquarters in Kabul issued a statement acknowledging the loss of one of their UAVs over western Afghanistan last week. The statement also suggested the Iranians may have simply found the misplaced UAV for them. It may be important that NATO officials did not deny Iran's claims that the UAV was the RQ-170, which is known to operate from Kandahar where it was originally spotted.

And F-15 would be Jurassic era technology. Americans are such fun people, specially when their huge ego is freshly broken and they stop making sense. They become very vulnerable and start to mumble, like a teenage girl after her very first intercourse.

Mashallah Iran!

God bless Iran, brave nation, brave people. Only independent Muslim country that refuses to take barking orders. Shame, all the rest are spineless treacherous puppets.

YOU bringing up 'common sense' in this debate? So far there has been nothing but baseless assumptions on your part about Iran's alleged role in this event. And YOU have the gall to bring up 'common sense'?

Let us begin...

In robotics where the device stands with the potential of losing contact with the controller, you must have a 'safe' or 'default' condition available in the event that such a loss does occur. These drones are engineered with such conditions. They are programmed with autonomous flight programming to continue on current heading, or enter an orbit, or self destruct. The last option is least desirable because there could be a chance that contact and control would be reestablished.

Iran did made a similar claim back in July about shooting down a US drone. Nothing to back up that claim. So why should we place anymore credibility on this one?

Cracking into the encrypted communication links in real time is as valid as saying Santa Claus exist. Just as only children believe in Santa Claus, only gullible people like you here would believe that Iran could do such a thing. Equally implausible is the 'virus' tale. If true, then the quickest way to shut down the entire US drone program would be to provide visual confirmation of that takeover of control. The aircraft must be intact and repeatedly flown by Iranian controllers.

And YOU have the gall to bring up 'common sense'...???

So much for logical thinking. The state of <something> is not the same as the cause of that state. Yours is the same mentality that deny 9/11 but quickly jumps to conclusions like this subject because it fits your preconceived notions. If we lost the drone, how is that automatically equal that it was brought down by violent means?
