I see no 'millions of Pakistanis'. All I see are a doctor who's being made a scapegoat as part of a witch-hunt and some misguided Pakistanis and a few cunning Generals of the PA.

Its Pakistani hypocrisy at its best..

1. There is no punishment for Musharraf for letting the CIA and other Private Defence contractors into Pakistan
2. There is no punishment for the current govt for allowing USA to set up all the bases within Pakistan and for allowing CIA to roam around in Pakistan as if they are doing so in their backyard
3. There is no punishment for ISI and other agencies who allowed (complicity or incompetence) OBL to live freely in urban Pakistan within striking distance of the Capital and within a Military academy town.
4. There is no punishment for Pakistan defence forces who couldnt move an inch for the full 2 hours when the operation abbotabad was happening..

But the only good Pakistani in the whole episode, gets 33 years in Prison for treason..

Actually works fine.. As someone once said, the real character of a nation is visible from the kind of people who are jailed in that nation.. When you see someone who helped get rid of the biggest terrorist in the world in jail, and terrorists like Hafiz Saeed roaming free in Pakistan, the perception of the national character of Pakistan is anyone's guess...

Why the US should fund a country which obviously helped the US dangerous enemy to escape justice and continue with terror attacks against American and Western civilians and security forces?

Pakistan is very quick to prosecute the only Pakistani who did the right thing and helped to capture OBL before he will launch another terror attack but for some unclear reasons Pakistan does nothing to find out who knew about OBL's hiding place and who in the ISI and Army helped him.

And Pakistan has the nerve to call itself an ally in the War on Terror. Well, it is indeed an ally but of the terrorists!

The Appropriations Committee approved the amendment 30-0 on Thursday as Republicans and Democrats widely criticized Pakistan's conviction of Shakil Afridi for high treason a day earlier. Afridi ran a vaccination program for the CIA to collect DNA and verify bin Laden's presence at the compound in the town of Abbottabad where US commandos killed the al-Qaida leader in May 2011.

The United States has called for Afridi to be released.
