Ordinary citizens are not privy to the level and types of cooperation agreed to by the officials. A foreign army is a foreign army. Period.

For me, this is not about OBL; it's about the principle of random citizens helping foreign militaries to conduct operations in the country. No country would tolerate this behavior from their citizens.

The Taliban were created in Pakistan in 1992. The Afghans who USA supported to fight the Soviets encompassed a whole spectrum of Afghan society including people from the Northern Alliance, Secular Afghans, and religious extremist Afghans who mutated into the Taliban.

And besides, many other foreign powers have allied themselves with less desirable to fight a common enemy.

Such as Allies fighting with Soviet Union against Germany and Japan and then turning into enemies after World War II.

China allying with Vietnam to fight the South Vietnam and USA and then turning into enemies which led the Cambodia War and China-Vietnam War.

And now with USA allying with Afghan Mujaheddin to fight the Soviets and then later some of them mutated into Taliban which USA is currently fighting.

The courts heard the evidence and decided it was sufficient for a conviction. In case anyone thinks Pakistani courts are in cahoots with the army, just look at recent verdicts (Lal masjid, Baluchistan missing persons, etc.) where the courts threw the book at the security establishment.

But was he allowed a lawyer ?? Without it, what is the validity of that court ruling from a human rights perspective...?

Well I was totally against the War in Iraq and I knew Iraq had no WMD. So I am with you there.

As for Osama bin Laden, when his family members, taliban animals, al qaeda, his wives and sons all acknowledge that he is dead. Then he really is dead.

Obama is different than Bush that he does not like to parade pictures of dead terrorists like Bush did when he showed pictures of Saddam, His Sons, Zarqawi.

Even if Obama showed pictures of Osama, would you really have believed it? Or just dismissed the picture as another hollywood special effects job.
