US responsible for the Murder of Pakistani Troops - Pak Rejects NATO Probe

does it matter anymore - whats the purpose of this briefing? - will this briefing disclose anything new? - i doubt it!!!

With respect it would have been interesting watching them squeal and which lie they were going to promote. At the end of the day they were promoting their version of events as gospel and would prove to be the correct version . Embarrassingly for them - they cant even agree on what lie to come out with.
They are proving to be nothing but a bunch of chronic liars. Shame on them. Keep their xmas puddings and turkeys and chicken blocked. Let it rot.

no need to listen Americans Un less they apologize. If we give them space now without their apology it will mean we are not allies but slaves and a precedent will be set giving them freedom of thuggery

.
It is a political mistake to be seen and then painted as a party that simply refuses to listen at all. It is better to listen, and then reject, calmly and logically. Repeat as necessary.

But we already know what their report is. We know that it is a lie. So cancelling their trip means rejection of their report..

Because it ups the ante that is best avoided by both sides in the present situation. Simple.

Some of us here realise that an alliance with america long term castrates and makes us into an indian protectorate. Pakistan has no choice in the matter if it wants to retain its independence. American propaganda deride us cos they say that we wont help them against terrorists but in reality thats bolloxs. its the fact that we the people and PA dont buy their future geo political aims and that frustrates them. As a result of their frustrations they lash out at what they see as enemies to their interets. Our future is with China, Russia, Iran and afghanistan etc. I am actually pleased that Indians dumped Russia relative to the relationship they had with soviets in the early 90s, that is what is going to be seen in historical terms a big mistake that india made in the future years. Its made it a lot easier for us.

The same can be said for just about any army, including Pakistan's.
Except that this 'inculcation of hate in a military' is far more dangerous when coupled with an ideology of 'manifest destiny and American exceptionalism' and the willingness to engage in military conquest/campaigns all over the world in the pursuit of ill-defined 'US goals and national interests'.

The millions dead across three continents is evidence enough of the above ...

Other examples of the above would be the various European Empires and their colonization of various parts of the world ..

Of course the report can be rejected, but in a more politically astute manner, that is all I am saying.

If they had showed sincerity and voiced their apology when the event had occurred then we could have potentially been back on track. Their theory was "they have bought our loyalty" - what they didnt bargain for is our lives respect honor and sovereignty cannot be bought and any acts of this nature cannot or will not be tolerated EVER. Long live the memory of our lost soldiers - we will never forget

.
The real direction comes from elsewhere; the men in uniform on all sides are not the masters but rather mere puppets.
But I think the point being made was that without the 'puppets' also 'believing in the 'cause' (and you see that in the cannon fodder of the religious extremists as well), such 'military campaigns' cannot be sustainable.

The 'puppets' don't have to believe in or understand the entire 'complexity' of the goals/ideology being pursued by the few in power - just give them their simple slogans of 'terrorist Mooslums, protect our freedoms blah blah blah ...'

their apology will break idol of their conceit ego and then may be they will become allies until them Pakistan should stand by its stand and let the supply be blocked until they began to realize that they are also humans not gods and they have to follow and respect human lives

As I have been saying, the need is to get as much coverage to get your point of view across. I dont think your strategy will work. it gives you more kuddos, that you refuse to accept the US version of events in the press. So you keep refusing to meet the Generals that get sent down and mean while the other party feels the pain more and more. It will then turn into a waiting game, where the other party keeps feeling the pinch by the day. You get your requests granted in the end and on a moral high ground.
I think we should hold on tight. The next thing may well be economic sanctions but that may well be a step too far. Remember US cant afford to alienate us entirely just yet!!!

If they can't even apologize for the lives of the dead; They have been given a strong response that they needed. :pakistan:

Of course the potential dangers of power are proportional to its magnitude, as are the potential goods.

Wake up and smell the coffee , it will not be business as usual from here on

Sure, but there will be business, albeit unusually so.

Ah yes, you point out the difference between training and education. Men in uniform have the former, not the latter.

I dont think it would matter much if they had to apologise. They would gladly do so if it achieved their aims. The problem simply is of coming out on top with this situation so that you dont lose your moral high ground. this is important to us and for them it is just a question of how much it would cost. Mind you even if we made them pay they would make our leaders(both civil and military) pay in similar kind.
