US responsible for the Murder of Pakistani Troops - Pak Rejects NATO Probe

It is clear to see that most here on the forum believe that U.S. attack its the Pakistani border check-posts, although they knew that they were Pakistani. And some believe that it was a targeted attack on Pakistan as had been planned in advance
But I have not heard one good reason why the U.S. should make so much mischief, and risking cooperation with Pakistan for a couple of check-posts.
That they are Satans spawn, monster or just evil, is not very convincing answer for me.
So my question is, why would U.S do it?

Personally, I believe there was a fu, as so often happens in the heat of battle.

Like I said the other day cheng I will smack you in the teeth, then I will offer you money to pay for dental work to fix your teeth, then I will invite you for a few kebabs to show you why you deserved a smack in the teeth

You have not read all the posts on this thread. There have been numerous reasons submitted. Sad to see that cheng lol bongoman thanked you even though he has read all the posts.

Below is a thread that I put up in july this year:

It is a political mistake to be seen and then painted as a party that simply refuses to listen at all. It is better to listen, and then reject, calmly and logically. Repeat as necessary.

Agreed, but reject we must - calm shouldn't mean pussyfooting and mincing words. Talks should now head in one direction only, accountability and jailing people...

And this can't be a barter - Supply route can't open in exchange for jailing US personnel. That should be a permanent closure for national interests.

I agree with this absolutely, but my fear is that the backbone necessary to do what you describe is lacking.

Where is Mr. CENTCOM and his threads when you need them?

Mr Cheng let me explain in simple terms my sentiments -

A criminal cannot commit a crime and then submit a report exonerating himself and blaming the victim. This is what the the US Report attempts to do and all right thinking people will agree with the righteous Pakistani stand towards this false fabrication of a report. They must learn that the people of the world are intelligent and cannot be taken for naive suckers. Reverse the scenario and will the American people accept a similar doctrine by the Pakistanis. So, USA do not add insult to damage done. Remember that high - handed and stupid arrogance can get you nowhere but into trouble. Apologize for your evil deed in the unjustified killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers You cheated on Pakistan. The US as usual, speaks highly and morally and ethically and ends up doing the very opposite, when it preaches Biblically and acts Satanically. The Roman and Mongol empire from what I read didn’t behave with this barbaric behaviour.
As you repetitively keep saying Pakistan's next move is paramount - how about stop policing and being the criminal, judicial system and judge in the same court as the world thinks you are becoming a over zealous bully - out of control like a mad dog.
Apologize show remorse and say it to the Pakistani people - then lets move forward.

I agree with this absolutely, but my fear is that the backbone necessary to do what you describe is lacking.

We can only back up our people and hope they do as the people want them to. There are three things to remember, before we make any pro-American and anti-Afghan Taliban move from here on.

1. Joe Biden's U-Turn of a statement
2. Taliban opening up a office in Qatar
3. US not taking no for an answer on deals, US will pursue Taliban with a more aggressive offer next year.

Supply route closure gets us major plus points with the future leaders of Pashtun provinces of Afghanistan (at least). The US supports and throws its weight behind Anti-Pakistan and pro-India provinces in Afghanistan. So we need to go into this forgetting Taliban is some Terrorist Organization, but a future party of Afghanistan.

Why do you allways think the worst and deride pakistan and put us down? First you said the routes would be open in a week, then your estimate went to 30 days now you are suggesting the backbone is not there for pakistan to do the right thing. There is this double standard of hope and optimism that you hold of white americans and a negative perception you have of your own:

Default Re: Pakistan holding trump card on NATO supply halt

How come you dismiss anything pakistanis say as pscyop story but when Aipac run american regime say something its allways accepted as truth by you. you are a victim of american propaganda. btw remember you said routes would b open in a week. You were as usual wrong

Where did I say it is a Pakistani psyop story? Think about that for a moment.

My estimate was 30 days. I still have a week, and if my estimate is off, I will admit it.

Absolutely agreed.

As long as there is a well thought out game plan to move forward, perhaps as you suggest, then this time Pakistan may actually come out well ahead of the game for a change.

So you have been shown to be wrong again you said 30 days as I have quoted you above. Any comments???

Sure. When we know that they are telling lies, there is no need to listen them.

Haven't they already disclosed that they made mistakes? They did not inform the Pakistanis that they were conducting operations near the border as they were expected to, that itself would have warned the Pakistanis to expect them and so all this would have been avoided. Their second mistake was to send incorrect map coordinates to the Pakistani liaison officer in that joint control centre. Had the correct coordinates been sent, the Pakistani LO would have immediately pointed out the location of his post where the NATO operation was underway and the operation would have been halted.

What amazes me was why the American did not have the coordinates of the Pakistani post marked on their maps? Wasn't it a permanent border post? Permanent border posts which have existed over a long period of time have the habit of finding their way into even civilian survey maps. How could they not be on military maps being used for operations in that very area? If this post was not a permanent post but one which was somehow mobile or semi mobile, even then the current locations of all such post should have been available to the US/NATO.

One point being raised by the US side is that the Pakistanis fired at them first and so the firefight ensued. I don't buy that at all. It is common knowledge that isolated posts in hostile territory do tend to be trigger happy. No one in his right mind will ever try to approach such a post at night without prior warning and coordination. Even a patrol returning to its post at night has recognition signals tied up to avoid accidental or friendly fire by panicky sentries. If the US team approached the Pakistani post at night without forewarning them then they were begging to be fired at. All it needs is for one sentry to open fire and then the whole post erupts and within seconds, everyone is firing.

All in all, a rather pathetic way of fighting a war on terror.

I can accept this post as well, except that please note my cold logic does not prevent me from being aware of the personal impact of such situations given my own history. At least give me that much credit for being human, albeit coldly logical.
I have no problem with your logic and accept it without any prejudice. The post in question pertained to the smaller picture being lost in persuance of the bigger picture.

I don't think Pakistani parliamentary officials and their appointed civil officials can understand American english.

CENTCOM is betting on wrong horse.

I understand. Other than a few memorials being erected here and there, and may be a commemorative speech and medals, the real tragedy lives on with families who sons were lost. For them that is the only picture for the rest of their lives.
