For the simple reason that Usrael is behind these over 30 years sanctions, for them Iran had to stop its peaceful civilian nuclear program or get bombed by Usrael, who in fact wished the US will do it for them, they even have threatened to nuke Iran and make 20 000 000 causalities if they deem it necessary in their perception of things.. the US responded with a deal with Iran that Usrael is trying to sabotage through US congress by saying that the Iranian program and rhetoric scares them!

1. I wanted a reply from an authentic Iranian.

2. Israel works for its national interest which is what is expected by them. US works for its national interest which is expressed as support for Israel.

Its only Iran that seems to work AGAINST their national interest. Which is why I wanted an Iranian to reply.

Iran again been outsmarted by USA. Iran, what a great country, great civilization, great resources all being wasted at the alter of the incompetent mullahs. Whatever respect I had for the mullahs has slowly ebbed away. This is bad news for the region and bad news for Pakistan.

The USA have their interests and those don't coincide with Iran. Double standard yes but the US has that power and can dictate to others. Iran is a big prize and no administration will let that go. 80+ millions to sell products to and a whole host of other strategic issues make Iran very appetizing. Once government changes and Iran is friends again you will see how America changes attitudes toward them.

It would. Iran is not a expansionist state. The previous century of history proves it. It is not like the region does not have nukes - Pakistan next door has them already and Israel down the road also has them. What nukes would do is secure Iran's paranoid fear of insecurity which when looked at from Tehran's perspective looks like half the world is out to get you. The experiance of Iraq has reinforced the fear of weak state that they are prone to invasion causing disasterous fractures with non stop bleeding like we see in that country, Therefore nukes would assuage Tehrans fears and actually contribute to security and stability in the region.

It would bring that country out of the seige mentality it has afflicted on itself because of it's history of abuse and make it a important player in the region.

Iranian leaders sometimes give statements like wiping a country from the face of the world. Is that a positive constructive statement to give?
