I don't see why Pakistanis are so torn over the U.S giving them aid.... the U.S has been giving Pakistan for 50 years even before the 1965 war since the Eisenhower administration

As per USA official

the Nato supply per month cost them now 87million compare to 17mn when the supply through pak was open
Even the US soldier dnt have Nappy.
USA official admitted last month that we dnt have all the goodies we had when supply through pak was open

and the 87mn Cost is when the aerial supply is again through pak..imagine pak even block the airspace for them
by than they will come through Russia and central asian airspace..which is also nt possible during winter.and would cost them +200millions a month

They did not close the airspace probably in order that they could get the figures from the US side of the additional cost involved for air routes and hence get a part of that additional costs as "royalty' for the generals and politicians once the land routes start running again.

I don’t think Pakistan can afford to refuse this big money. $2.4bn is half of the total Pakistan’s defence budget and almost equal to their total expenditure on infrastructure/ development for one financial year. Also a big part of this money will go to the pockets of politicians, military bosses, diplomats, and other officials etc……………..

Pakistan has to take this aid . it represents about 8% of the total GOP budget for this year . thats huge . also while a lot of members here feel they don't need the money , lets be honest you guys are not economists who know the real picture of the Pakistan economy , while you may feel to goes into the pockets of big wigs the fact is that this type of aid is usually very detailed and accounted for by the authorities. .

if you look at NAB (national accountability bureau) reports, average 4 to 5% of this aid is spent on pepole of pakistan. rest goes to the pockets of rulers of pakistan. thats why pakistanis are saying that they want this aid which doesnt get to them, uncle sam knows this and this is a bribe money to keep these rulers in order. reminds me of bravehart, where all the scottish nobles lived a great life and their people in abject poverty, same process is repeatinng in pakistan for 50 years.

Both Pakistani Military and civilian leaders will whip up sentiments on TV channels and public rallies and oppose receiving any aid from USA but in the back door will be queuing up to receive the same.If Pakistan has not asked for the money why would USA be allocating any aid in the first place.

It surely is important for their budget , not all in PDF might agree with me
