NEW DELHI – India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj informed the upper house of the parliament that India has conveyed its concerns to the US over what she said the expected sale of missiles and attack helicopters to Pakistan.

In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, she said that the expected US decision must take into account the US-India ties and the impact on India's security before firming up such supplies. She said that the government kept a constant watch on all developments, which had a bearing on India's national interest, and took necessary steps to safeguard it.

“Most recently, we have noted that the US State Department made a determination approving possible military sales to Pakistan of AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and AGM-114R Hellfire II missiles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of 952 million dollars,” she said.

"Government has sensitised the US of our concerns on US military sales to Pakistan. Our government has consistently conveyed to the US that it must take into account US-India relations and the impact on India's security in deciding its military assistance to Pakistan,” she added.

In April, the US approved sale of $952 million worth of attack helicopters, missiles and other defence equipment to Pakistan in order to help the country with its counterterrorism operations, but said the deal would not alter the military balance in the region.

. . . . .
these heli and missiles are destined to kill ttp

apache vs viper would be interesting though.

think viper can fire aim-9m has the advantage

I doubt gunships will hunt gunships.. Vipers will be used for anti armour role...

Meanwhile I believe MI-35s will end up with the SF or special operations SQD that supports SSG.

India is very defensive when it comes to weapon deals which involve Pakistan and at the same time claims advantages every time they have any debate. They need to grow up because objectively, all this objecting makes it seem like India is the one who is scared of any conventional weapon Pakistan possesses.
