India is very defensive when it comes to weapon deals which involve Pakistan and at the same time claims advantages every time they have any debate. They need to grow up because objectively, all this objecting makes it seem like India is the one who is scared of any conventional weapon Pakistan possesses.

I think Indian diplomats do a good job in raising objections against what it perceives as an increment in threat perceptions in immediate theater of combat. It also lets major weapons distributors know that it will use it's own military sales as a leveraging tactics to reduce potential sale to a hostile entity. If you think objectively it is using every avenue in it's arsenal to hedge against potential risks against security paradigm of India. The reason Pakistan cannot do this is because it cannot do the same against India, as it's book order values are much smaller.

Actually India is acting like a child with everything being a threat. It wants unilateral relationships which did not work out so great with Indo-Russian relationships and will work even worse with America because India has many conflicting relationships which will come in play.
Any threat perception is handled by increasing deterrence, not going and complaining and lobbying because in the end Congress has already been briefed on this and they will be made to look like idiots by the Indian lobby in Washington.

Short term at best, with a very immature outlook. Pakistan will end up with the helicopters because it has a quid quo pro with the US and the deal has already moved forward from reviews which would hold it back.

America does not only value order size, as can be seen by the Middle East and it's current situation. There are multiple lobbies and interests and then there is National security. Lobbies work as long as the National Security concept is not disturbed, case in point Iran deal with the two strongest lobbies trying to apply pressure against it.
