yes ... please suspend aid .. we need serious reconstruction of all our Armed forces & security agencies

And for this grand reconstruction (reconstitution?), you will get the money from.......

^ Aid provides little revenue as a percentage of our budget. The importance of aid to Pakistan is overestimated. And Pakistan actually is getting "negative aid" because it loses far more due to WoT than it gains.

Maybe trade them with China. This way Pakistan can have some J-10's and J-11's instead and China gets to copy the F-16 etc etc too

Seriously, joking, and humor aside, suspend aid. We need a whole new army, and new intelligence agency. This so called Pakistani intelligence agency "ISI" and army is no longer credible. I am disgusted to be a Pakistani. Because of this, Pakistanis living abroad and in Pakistan have to live with humiliation and terrorist jokes. Great job ISI and Pak military. Osama Bin laden living in a mansion neighboring PMA.

Suspending aid may indeed help restructure your government: the military is unaccountable to civilian authority. Its poor image will keep it from committing a coup and strangulation may compel the generals to surrender their independence: what you need, I guess, is a system where the generals can be replaced at the whim of elected officials, whose inspectors report to the legislature and not the COAS, and where each member of the military is subject to the law. Pakistan would be much closer to being a true democracy than at any time since Mirza's coup over fifty years ago.

Yet can any of this will happen, even with the U.S. suspending aid, without support and involvement by Pakistanis themselves? You can't expect the U.S. - or Britain, or China, or even the Indians you dread - to do it for you. For nobody wants Pakistan as their colony.

Are'nt the J-10 and J-11 good contemporaneusly designed and equipped aircraft?

i guess all those in this forum who want to stop aid are from affluent families or with military connection!!
i think we should start a new thread "PAKISTAN - OUTSIDE US UMBRELLA"!! seems then we can find how much pak can do on its own or with china help?? BTW last time i saw in youtube a pak economic analyst that pak-china trade is also one way like US!! Guess pak is searching for a new bank to take loan!! Very nice buts loans are always to be returned and for non-repayment........to be continued i would also like to state that pak's obsession with kashmir, military, india, etc etc has not yielded desired results or did it?? Guess economy, education and jobs got forgotten??
