US has most to lose from trade war, China would benefit – ECB study

Actually America's steel and aluminium tariffs apply to the entire world.

Countries need their own individual exemptions to avoid them. And only Australia and Argentina have exemptions from these tariffs.
Doesn't matter to China at least. The tariffs are mostly China-centric hence they call it China - US trade war and not US - World trade war. Aluminum and steel don't make even 1% of the imports.

Are you from Australia or Argentina? These are the only two countries that have exemptions from America's steel and aluminium tariffs.

If not, then you have been hit with American tariffs. You can choose to roll over if you want, Trump already crashed the Indian Rupee all the way down to 75 (record historical low) with just a few stupid comments in the global headlines.

And I don't care, the steel and aluminum exports to the US are insignificant. I don't know why you're trying to make it a world issue (in fact it is but not the way you imagine).
Also, you're a think tank, FFS think, Indian rupee depreciating is not connected to Trump. Not going into the specifics. It is neither because the US put tariffs on Indian exports nor Trump gets angry.

Of course you don't care, because you can't do anything about it. Now Trump can sanction India again for buying the S-400 in the knowledge that India can't respond to it either.

And Trump has been going around calling India the "Tariff King" ( ), how do you think that will play out? He has already seen that he can tariff India without a response.

Oh so the collapse of the Rupee has nothing to do with Trump?

It has nothing to do with America abandoning the Iran nuclear deal and causing instability in the oil market? It has nothing to do with American sanctions against Turkey (which sparked the currency collapse), it has nothing to do with Trump's global trade war? It has nothing to do with Trump's economic policies causing capital flight out of the developing world and back into the USA? Or those same policies causing the dollar to rise?

None of these were targeted at India, yet the Indian Rupee still collapsed to a historic all-time-low of 75. Now imagine what will happen if Trump goes after "Tariff King India" directly?

Oil prices surge on momentary issues, one for sure is the trade war. But, it is good for America, one way or another it could've happened. And giving Trump any credits, as you lot seriously think Trump is the man behind all these shitshow makes it more interesting. Trump can't even make a sentence correctly. It's the Republicans who are done with this. US trade war is with China, the term 'global trade war' is a nice try at deflecting, everybody knows what it is and I'm not gonna pick your side on this. You and Trump deserve each other.

It's the whole team that's responsible for all these. Your pain is not the action of one man, it's the whole US government that's against you. I guess they got the right kind of man to implement all these. All these are your own making. Speaking of currency depreciation, crude oil was $130/b and our currency remained stable. The issue is rising US fed interest rates, our ever increasing deficits, yes China is one of the reasons our currency is depreciating. We'll soon put measures to reduce the deficit, either by increasing our export to you or putting an anti-dumping duty on Chinese goods. The Turkey issue is more or less resolved, again I don't expect you to know all these, because Trump is responsible for all this:lol:...........

Yes, crude oil is another issue. But Iran crisis is just one, the oil cartels are raising the crude price by reducing supplies, so the OPEC is also responsible for Rupee depreciation. Should I go on?

People here have a brain you know? Unlike in other section, they can see and judge a post by its merit, what you are doing here is basically strengthen my reputation, and weaken your own. If you even have half a brain, you should have known.

Trump can't even make a sentence correctly.

You think Trump is too stupid to make a sentence correctly?

Donald Trump is a genius. Just watch this interview from the 1980's to see exactly what he is doing today:

We'll soon put measures to reduce the deficit, either by increasing our export to you or putting an anti-dumping duty on Chinese goods.

Hmm I've been hearing that for years already. Yet India's trade deficit to China continues to grow:

CNBC - India's trade deficit with China nearly triples in a decade

And as a side note, America's trade deficit to China hit yet another record high. :P

Bloomberg - U.S. Trade Gap Widens Most Since 2015; Record China Deficit

What people don't seem to understand, is that a Current Account Deficit is fundamentally about an imbalance between Savings and Investment. Governments LOVE to boost consumer spending (look at Trump's trillions in tax cuts and massive spending plans) because that tends to be the easiest way to boost GDP growth (and thus employment) in the short-term. However boosting spending means that you are reducing saving.

And if Savings are not enough to cover Investment, the difference needs to be funded from overseas, so a country with a Current Account Deficit is a net borrower.

Donald Trump is not stupid, he understands this very clearly. But doing the right thing (controlling the budget deficit, the trade deficit and the national debt for the long-term health of the economy) does not win votes. Nobody wants to wait 10 years to see a sustainable result if they have another choice. And borrowing is so incredibly easy, when Current Account Surplus countries (net lenders) such as China/Germany/Japan need to balance the Balance of Payments by lending money overseas.

That is the trick!

Pretending to be lost much, fooling the rival, but eventually gain more.

Dude, I have an actual job unlike someone who each post will get them 50 cents, which would let someone live quite nicely in the hellhole you are from.

Before then

I am not the one that said "Stop Derailing the Thread" when I responded to your question.
