I think our troops will also be used in what fits asymmetrical warfare. During Iran-Iraq war we used our troops inefficient. We should form small attack units like how the houthi's attack and damage certain targets, even while they get attacked by modern saudi fighter jets. The same should happen in the sea.. small attack teams who sabotage strategic targets.
Depends..if our people like to take huge debts to subsidize everything from gas(lets leave the stove on match stick is more expensive) to metro bus ticket(that cost 10cents a world record even saudis cant do that)
if some speculations came true and we have 500 TELs, considering US fired 60-100 missiles to take out a whole airport, god willing we can take their air bases around in first days, of this scenario goes well and we left with enough air force and navy assets can march toward some lands and capture them.
They will strike at Command and Communications Network, Radar installations, and Airports across Iran. You will see how quickly things break down.

Taliban had the luxury to melt into tribal areas of Pakistan and Iran when shit hit the fan for them (2001 - 2002), and it took them years to re-establish their support base across Afghanistan, to re-surge in 2015, which was made possible by corruption of US-backed Afghan government. And to be honest, even Americans are put off by corruption of the existing Afghan government, and negotiations with the Taliban are INTENTIONAL. Nevertheless, Afghanistan is already in stone age, and Afghans being ultimate losers across the board; nothing to be proud of.
Conventional phase of war will be over in a span of few months tops, and Iranian regime will collapse in the aftermath. Rest is show time because this is exactly the point - to bring chaos into Iran itself so that it loose power across the Middle East. Understand the game.
but what if we strike first and take out their bases?? timing is important, we can launch missiles toward aldhafra air base from azerbaijan province, we can launch missiles at israel from mashhad, we can launch missiles at saudi bases from iraq, syria and yemen so as to US bases. this is our region and unlike what you think we will win aginst US+PGCC+israel and will form a new ME where east rules not west.
Right now, much of the world is not supporting American moves against Iran. However, if Iran is the first to take its chances against American military bases across the Middle East then Iran will loose its game at the international stage. More like Iran would be attacking other sovereign countries in the process, and they might establish a coalition against Iran afterwards. Irrespective of your vast ballistic missile arsenal, you cannot afford to alienate much of the Middle East at this stage.
