The federal government has distributed the vehicles to all the provinces
Means these will be pieces of rust soon

Like your F-16's have become and none of them fly....?? or the Howitzers or the C-130 have all become junk? BUT, yet, your military would LOVE to have everything American if allowed by the United States Government.

If you don't have anything positive to contribute, at least, don't show us your negativity. Growing countries have positive future ahead of them and a prosperous nation, who respects every other country.

Thanks Pakistanis tax payers

Billions in aid given to Pakistan over decades had and still has nothing to do with the tax payers in Pakistan. I told someone else and I'll repeat myself, if you don't have anything positive to contribute, don't spread negativity either.

I think its time that Pakistan as a nation starts to build a better future with respect to its foreign policy. And the US will always be probably the most critical aspect of it. Even if China gains an edge over it, why can't Pakistan and Pakistanis try to keep a healthy and respectful relationship with war wishes for the US. Just a courtesy for a country who's helped out in many places, irrespective of certain situations. You can't discount 70 years of relationship for 10 or 20 rocky years. That's pretty silly. A growing Pakistan will need the US, the Chinese, the Britts, etc, so why not be courteous and cordial and say a thank you once in a while....

Lol if you dont have Pakistani background you can't understand what I said and leave it.

Commendable gesture, one that deserves public appreciation.

I'm, however, tad bit skeptical about the way these machines will be used and handled, if they will be used at all. Upon first look, they seem simple enough to be operated and maintained by local police and bomb disposal units (assuming this is where they'd end up) but there's a factor or intrinsic incompetence of our law enforcement agencies that must be accounted for. Let's just hope that, these machines, like a lot of equipment we have received before are actually taken out in field instead of ending up rusting and deteriorating in the storage facilities.

.
These will be used as massagers by our politicians. Mark my words.

.
Its time to equip the BDUs of LEAs with better equipment and safety kits. I have all the praises for BDUs of police department esp of KPK for always tirelessly working with almost no other equipment than just a cutter and a torch till now.

There is nothing that I don't know about the US and Pakistani relationship, going back to Pakistan's birth. Do you care to elaborate what you are trying to say? There are Pakistanis on here who appreciate. You guys would come to America to live in a heartbeat, but you won't thank you for any gestures that the US has offered to Pakistan? The least you could do, is mention a thank you. If these machines can save ONE human life, its worth a thank you. Both you and I know, these will save a LOT more than one life.

Utilization isn't US's issue right, one offers something as a goodwill gesture, they can't send their trained personnel to Pakistan, with these machines and offer services. The gesture of the US government, like you said, should be publicly appreciated. This is just one of MANY big things the US has been doing for Pakistan. A thank you goes a LONG way in establishing better relationships. The word thank you, and a smile is contagious and it does miracles in establishing better relationships.

Uncle Sam has been making some good gestures recently. Credit is given where its due.

These units should be put to work immediately and help save lives by dismantling bombs, etc. This is state of the art equipment so good for Pakistan and a big thank you to the US of course (I didn't think anyone on here would say thank you, so I thought I'd take that honor myself and thank the US on behalf of the members on here).

You know guys, irrespective of the rocky relationship, but yet a committed one since Pakistan's inception, there is a LOT of good stuff the US has been doing for Pakistan. Way before the Afghan war of the 80's or 2002, etc.

How about we open up a thread and identify the good things and support the US has provided? I see negativity all along, but its not fair. The US has done a LOT for Pakistan too.
@Horus @Oscar @WebMaster @MastanKhan @syed ali haider @Manticore Gentlemen - any thoughts on the above request?

Why complicate a working transactional relationship with goodwill or gratitude?

Why complicate a working transactional relationship with goodwill or gratitude?

Is it a working - transactional relationship? What's the US getting out of spending billions across the past 70 years from Pakistan? The steps the US took after OBL and reduced aid and all, could've happened decades ago. You really think its a transactional relationship?
And if you think that way, what's the relationship with China? Saudi Arabia and everyone else? They are ALL transactional in nature then, unless you actually have a valid logic behind what you said......and I'd like to hear that.

Dear my comment was about Pakistani institution. These machines will be given to provincial police and they are lazy so these machines will be rusty soon. Has nothing to do with America!
I was never in America and I dont want to be there. I m very much happy where I am.

America is a capitalist country and thinks in terms of self-interest. Henry Kissinger said “America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests”.

I suggest you thank us for being the most loyal FRIEND you've ever had at the expense of our national interest.

People like you, will never change or learn to negotiate. This is why you guys are behind from India and others. Things happen all the time, but people put their higher priorities first and work towards those. Here, you are too busy bashing a country who's stood by you.

What national interest you may have jeopardize due to the US's friendship? I'd love to hear this. If Taliban were in your national interests, you are sadly mistaken. See what's been going on around your country. So please enlighten me on facts. OR, quit the hate and not respond. The ones who have brains, would see what i am trying to do, and will respond properly.

Last but not least, Chinese are ALSO after their interest. If Gawader was 500 miles away from the Ocean, I'd love to see who'd throw 4 billion at you, let alone $ 45 billion!!!!
