If US would have believed Pakistan, US would not have conducted the whole operation by violating Pakistan sovereignty and taking the risk of its helicopter being shot down Pakistan Airforce to kill Osama on its own. The whole operation happened without the involvement or knowledge of Pakistan army says a different story.
