There is a division in GoI over MRCA.
Antony doesn't want to go for decades old F-18/F-16's but MMS section and imports lobby are trying hard to change his mind.
This division is clear with the fact that GoI isn't even on board with his decision and he is left behind to explain the reason for not attending. If everyone had been on board, Chidambaram and Pranab wouldn't attend either.
I think in the end, the puppet MMS will veto and go with US firms. Such vetoes are common in Indian history where nationalists are dumped with support of powerful foreign lobbies.
