Firstly these planes are not part of aid and have been paid for.

Just a food for thought why is USA selling 500 Aim 120C? To take out Talibans? I don't think so or may be to take out PLAAF planes

Indians here must understand that US officials accompanying F-16's is nothing unusual and it is normal practice to ensure that F-16's don't end up in hands of Chinese. Once delivery is complete they will go back, but America reserves the right to inspect them anytime to ensure no modifications have been carried out.But PAF will be operating the planes on its own(flying,maintenance,logistics and everything else).

History of F-16 procurement:

First 40 in 1980s were paid for.

Next 14 were part of EDA program not aid package.
EDA(Excess Defense Article).As major non-NATO ally Pakistan is entitled to receive any equipment that US forces declare as EDA.

18 new F-16's paid for.

One thing more aid or no aid in case of full fledge war USA like past will put sanctions on both countries. Though these sanctions will effect Pakistan more(in post war scenario) is another thing.But this will not effect during conflict operations.

So stop posting these kind of articles,or atleast stop making a new thread for every new article.

actually the F-16s are being deliverd in SKD kits and they will be stored at Shabaz airbase. and just like our nukes, if and when the need arises, the PAF wallas will assemble them for use, meanwhile the 'threat' will be over, and the US will certify that, 'yes pakistan did not use the F-16s' and then the PAF wallas will dis-assemble the F-16s and put them back in the crates for another rainy day. so in this way the whole 'world will be safe' from 18 F-16s!!!

Lolz our pilots received 8 months of training in USA to be able to fly these birds, how exactly will the Taliban train their pilots to fly them? Oh right sorry i forgot, they have RAW to help them out with that..............

As Indo-Us relations has developed rapidly in recent time, it is quite natural that India will protest against any defense deal between Pak-Us which she believe may hurt her in future and also it is quite obvious that the US will do its own bit to assure India that the outcome of any such deal will not impact India.
However both US and India are aware that in the war situation neither Pak will hesitate to use any weapons in their arsenal nor US will be able to do anything to stop its use expect for condemning their actions.

Yes !! I can see how people know about Military, Strategy, Military hardware use, and proper information related military stuff when they compare 3rd generation planes with 4.5 generation ones; talk about they can take armed forces more than twice the size and 6-7 times more defence budget without having a scratch on themselves etc ..

To those friends who think US will have a firm grip on blk 52 even after they are delivered and will prohibit Pakistan to use them against India in a war scenario then I have my serious reservations on this theory. Yanks know once the bird is out of the cage, they will not have any leverage on it what so ever except to force Pakistan to sign all sorts of precautionary measures and make them nod "yes sir we will follow as you instructed". The best they can do after the birds are delivered is to put us under sanctions and when they do that, trust me folks, hell will break loose on them in Afghanistan. Our cards are stronger than 80s this time and only factor needed is some courage from our corrupt government which is unlikely.

The bottom line is, Yanks CANNOT stop us using the blk 52s against India at all !
