US considering possibilities of civil nuclear cooperation with Pak

.
Why feed a troll?

You can not get any more 'international' than US ambassador himself.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
This could be a distraction for Pakistan in order to derail future international projects. US has to overcome a great deal of trust deficit in Pakistan to be taken seriously!

If I am not wrong Ishaq Dar announced the same thing in the month of June/July which The United States has flatly denied.

According to the US ambassador, that flat denial has developed a bump or two and is no longer flat. It is now circular much to my amusement.

If Ishaq Dar said something and the US ambassador has said something similar, then there is definitely something going on. There are multiple power centers in USA and sometimes it is not easy to tell what exactly is going on. Just as well, it is convenient for US diplomacy too. They can always find an excuse later on.

Frankly, I do not know what's up with so many Indians jumping up and down about all this. This is not a serious or big issue. Calm down folks. It could be a feint to distract Pakistan from expanding energy options. It may turn out to have meant nothing a few months down the road. No need to get too excited about it.

At the moment IMF's biggest concern is to block the way for solar power systems in Pakistan... by hook or crook.

There are multi pronged approach adopted by IMF... this crooked news, is one way... to turn away the attention from Pakistan's non existent policy over solar energy.

Could you highlight these efforts? It would make a good support for your statement.
I agree that there is little in terms of a policy in Pakistan on the uses of alternative sources of energy.

.
its looks like USA is playing with pakistan again earlier it use to be mighty F solah's now its civil nuclear cooperation

Looks like pkaistanies realli love to run after so called 'truck ki batti'

Good Luck

Nothing will come of this. Pakistanis feel that they've suffered too much abuse from the US and the people won't allow the politicians to let the US anywhere near Pakistan's nuclear program.

Corruption, a non functional alternate energy board, no state policy about solar energy or efforts!
Any thing that goes against the implementation of solar energy at individual level, is an effort.

Thats all agreed with. What I specifically pointed to was IMF's hand in implementing these measures.
Since the three reasons you mentioned are technically the fault of Pakistani government policies and I dont see the link with IMF.

.
Not happening, Pakistanis do not realize that deals do not come out of hat. There has to be some basis for the same. A) Pakistan has very bad record. B) what is return for US.

.
Probably another one of Pakistan Media's journalism articles.

Not in an other Decade can anyone think about US-Pakistan Civil Nuclear Deal.

Should you expect IMF to come to Pakistan, with a speech mentioning 'i want to make you slave' and you expect me to pull, youtube of that speech?

IMF will not appoint blond people in Pakistan, with documented policy, it will ensure that independence in utility sector and basic commodities, shall not succeed by any means and this is the ground reality.
Pakistan's finance minister is always in agreement with IMF and in return he end up being millionaire.
There even exist a job function in IMF called 'Prime minister of Pakistan' Moeen Quraishi was on such overt posting.

Nawaz Sharif quoting India in every example, but failed to see the international funding of alternate energy pouring just to India.
Zero mention of solar energy!!!!!!! WHY?

Solar energy cost govt. the lowest and adds power to the grid or take the load off from grid, immediately.
It is natural, that first thing an energy starved state should do, is to liberalize its energy policy, rather running around the globe, at the cost of Pakistani tax payers, making headlines for political gains but in the end, all profit goes to the pocket of IMF.

I hope you know the structure of our utility bills and agreement of govt. with IMF regarding the price control over basic commodities, which is ONLY possible with full monop'oly and control over the relevant sectors.

Otherwise, all the Indians sitting in IMF are just lottery winners, or either Pakistanis being the willing donors to Indian economy and lazy enough to not pursue, the international grants on solar energy or perhaps the Pakistani show runners, have been given some guide lines to follow... !

.
Even if it was true (which it's not).

There would be all sorts of strings attached, 'strings' would be an understatement, try 'ropes' or 'chains' attached.

I am still not in entire agreement with what you said. Sure, the economic policies proposed by the IMF are quite stringent and perhaps damaging in certain sectors in the long run; but essentially that is the cost of getting the loans approved on the behest that they might be returned someday.

There are the recommendations given by the IMF.
1.The authorities will substantially reduce tax loopholes and exemptions, broaden the tax base, and reduce tax evasion.(All excellent recommendations but it remains to be seen if the government can implement these)

2. tackling the current energy crisis, which is a substantial drag on economic growth. The government has already launched a comprehensive energy policy, which will address energy supply, distribution, regulation, and pricing. The idea is to encourage more efficient consumption and better use of energy resources by reducing energy subsidies that currently go mainly to the rich. It is true that most people will pay more for energy, but, on the other hand, they will get energy more reliably and more consistently than they do now. And there will still be a subsidy for the poorest consumers. All of these measures—while they might not completely eliminate the massive blackouts that Pakistan is currently experiencing—will substantially reduce them over the duration of the program.
(All aimed at improving energy usage and not at stifling solar energy, perhaps not the best approach but again nothing to do with alternative energy sources).

Moreover, these seem to belie the assertions you have made regarding solar energy.
Alternative energy gaining momentum
It is becoming feasible to invest in both off grid as well as on grid energy systems. This combined with Government support and good return on investment is attracting more and more domestic and international investors to this field. With abundant sunlight and wind available in the country there is no reason why we cannot gain energy security and provide cheap and sustainable energy to our masses, which in turn will help our industry and exports to earn much needed foreign exchange for the country.

Alternative Energy Development Board
Power production: Investment programme worth $1.5b underway « PAKISTAN RENEWABLE ENERGY SOCIETY

The rest are is conjecture and the same could be said of all previous Finance ministers and PMs.

No not english mate , just any credible paper:)
but you dont have any other links now do you ? or you would have posted them by now:)

I asked for any international source mate.

If you have your ears in-tact you can listen to this live on the provided link. I don't know what are you thinking. The guy in the interview is the US diplomat himself speaking to kamran khan whatelse do you need? I means ignorance is one thing you're hell-bent upon embarrassing yourself.
