Yes, she is right. I suppose you don't understand how congressional hearing s work. This was set up by Congressmen who were supportive of Pakistan and against India. Yet hearing itself was not called Kashmir hearing. Rather lame 'human rights in south Asia'. They did discuss Pakistan's human rights as well.

Make your mind first as what she tried to call it as compare to past and how Kashmir is part of any discussion even though there is no hit on India at all. Having said that, Kashmir is the part of discussion be it on low level or mid to high but they are discussing... not just US but EU, UK and others. That is first achievement because in past, Kashmir wasn't highlighted like this. At least, Pakistan made India & her lobbies to come to the debate of congressional hearing is not in favour or against from the level of no mention of Kashmir.

Seriously, you think her job is to defend India? She is there on behalf on US administration. If you feel US is biased, then why plead with it?

She did not warn anybody, she suggested India to find a balance between security and individual liberties. She said it was off in this particular case in her opinion. This is from someone looking from outside. She doesn't have the same emotions we do, so yeah, no worries.

The head of the hearing Brad Sherman is the Head of Indian caucus in congress. When trump first made comments on Kashmir he was the first American he apologized to India.

So? He was only questioning about human rights situation in Kashmir. His worries about NRC. He'll be informed of the same by Indian administration. No worries.

US committee seriously just thrashed Indian narrative and their appointed journalist apart. These sub committee findings and hearing are really important for future US policy, in this case South Asia. So Kashmir issue, which always have been dormant in US for decades finally getting ears. Pakistan should kept up the pressure through their lobby in US now.

There was no revocation of article 370 before to have a reference point. You can only guess what Nawaz administration would have done but cannot conclude. If Nawaz were there and allowed by establishment, modi would have rather made a deal for permanent solution than embarrass him with unilateral decision.

Yet, I feel these are all lowel level stirrups which would eventually die down. I say that because Indians overwhelmingly support the move. US administration is full of Indians at high levels.

It's not congress. It's a subcommittee hearing on South Asian human rights situation. They couldn't even call it Kashmir hearing. It's not a big deal. There were several of such hearings on Balochistan alone. Like I said hear the entire proceedings, you'll see Alice Wells forcefully saying Pakistan to control its militants.

India was always a fraud. It masqueraded as a secular diverse and a liberal nation while massacring Kashmiris and muslims at home. It used to live under the radar while doing all this sh!t

Now that isn't happening anymore. Now India can't send another muslim as a poster boy and get away with its crimes. Now its crimes would be discussed in strongest of the capitals.
