US backs China & Russia, blow to Indian UNSC dream

I don't understand why some Indian members were serious about a UNSC seat. This is an elitist club and there will never be room for anyone else, be it Brazil, India, Germany, Japan, Mongolia, Sweden and so on.

What ? The elite group asked India to join UNSC in 1950 itself but fuckingg moron and anti national nehru sold it to Chinese . Saying first china then India for no fuckingg reason other than kick backs so hold your guns

Their demographics are shrinking, but they are still advancing, and the decline in demographics is partially due to the high standard of living they enjoy, through increased use of technology.

India is 1/6 th of the world, so the legitimacy is higher than some other candidates. ANyway on your point about west, it's not just a question of their growing old but in the case of UK an explicit series of disastrous decisions have rendered them with no teeth and the country therefore does not count. Militaily for instance:

- Trident has sapped and enervated their navy
- F 35 B well do I need to say
- EFT officially 20 years old and on the decline (so conventional strength failing)
- QE carriers will be a joke until the F 35s come and even then we know they won't be great shakes

In almost all other technological and industrial idexes other countries like India and China are rising while Britain is failing. So what legitimacy does Britain have? That way even Portugal was a great colonial empire once- would you concede them a P5 status today?

No, i am talking about the Original Post, which this thread is about.

So what happened? USA is not willing to let India join UNSC?

But but but but but there were claims in India media:
U.S. President Barack Obama backs India's bid for UNSC membership - The Hindu

Sir....even their dreams bear no fruit.

United States do backs Permanent seat at UNSC for Republic of India.

Obama supports adding India as a permanent member of U.N. Security Council
Saying that the United States seeks an "efficient, effective, credible and legitimate" United Nations, Obama told the parliament that "in the years ahead, I look forward to a reformed United Nations Security Council that includes India as a permanent member."

30 year project, we'll eventually get it. Aap kisse baat kar rahe ho? We bent the entire non proliferation structure to suit our needs, yeh bhi ho jayega.

Republic of India do have support of majority of countries from Asia countries, Arab countries, African countries and Latin American countries for the Permanent seat at UNSC.

Look my friend, it doesn't matter what yourself or the Indian people think. What matters is what the P5 think collectively. They just don't want to know.

Disagree with Syria situation.

USA, UK and France views clashed with Russia and China

If we were to do a top 5 now, I pick:

1. USA
2. China
3. Russia (Military power still)
4. Germany
5. Maybe bias, but I pick India

Well India doesn't need UNSC membership. It already is a member of BBIN (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal). Nothing can beat that.

Even if India takes over Maldives, no one can take on India except make some noise. May be some sanctions.
Russian army had entered Germany and defeated Hitler.
