US asks India to modify nuclear liability regime

What you are saying is correct, but how much energy is wasted by irresponsible people and EB staffs, The EB guys don't remember to switch off the Street Lights by morning,
Most of the Corporate sectors use AC unnecessarily.
By consuming more energy we are not doing any good to the environment, but destroying it.
Use resources responsibily should the the moto for every one in this planet

not just irresponsible use of electricity but there is big question mark on how much electricity is stolen. we have a huge power grids in our country you say like macro grids. they work absolutely fine. the problem comes when we see the power utilization in a city or town or a village we say a micro power grid. we should use our IT infrastructure to maintain and keep check on these matters. a computerized power grid in towns and cities can easily help. it is not a difficult task.

I completlly agree with you, there is no second thought on what you have said about Power Theft. Recently in TN it was found that factories run by binamies of DMK and most political parties have stolen power and the EB is taking action on these factories. On the other hand we have common man who steals the power for agri, etc

India's population is about 15 times of Germany. Where and how would we produce the energy for the population without burning coal and diesel? But what Clinton is saying is not acceptable.
And add on too that our Per capita GDP is not even 1/30th of their per capita GDP.....

.
may be in a country of 7- 10 million population the idea of dismantling of nuclear reactors could be 30% applicable but in India atleast not for next 100 years. we have vast thorium reserves why should we abandon our nuclear power stations. Its a fake idea. Instead we should put some more research to make it more safer and reusable. in 2007-2008 around thousand million units of electricity were stolen which accounts to Rs 35000 crore (million). If they can do some think about it to manage the power grid then it will be a boon.

.
Sorry lady. This is nuclear disasters we're talking about. That is not going to change. The last thing we want is shoddy material going kaboom in the midst of some populated area. No can do.
