US Agrees to Pay $1.18bn of CSF Arrears

When, despite NATO's all hi-tech gadgetry, up to 400 men can assemble and attack a Pakistani post and the dispear back into thin air in Afghanistan......i guess the only thing left for Pakistan to do is mint extra Rupees and ship them to ISAF's HQ.
are you telling me that with their high tch gadgetry they can foresee every action by the terrorists? You have an overhyped sense of military power, it's not reasonable.

My argument is that they are known to have obliterated a whole wedding party just because a person fired into the air, yet they are oblivious to 400 miscreants with all guns blazing for almost an hour. Hell they were very informed when a couple of Pakistani artillery or mortar shells allegedly landed inside Afghanistan. Indeed let's be reasonable.

indeed, I get an impression that you have facts and proof to substantiate your claim otherwise you can do well to follow your own advice.

obviously, why do you think they paid to secure the borders?
ISAF is but a Assistance force, weren't they doing enough to kill the Taliban, you don't expect them to take care of everything, already their operation was big enough.. Again, is it not why they gave or promised to give money to Pakistan?

nevertheless, ISAF has the responsibility of securing the border on it's side of the fence. Pakistan is trying very hard and has succeeded with the limited resources PA has considering the PA has two borders to protect. The 1.2 billion being paid is peanuts compard to almost 200 billion spent keeping the ISAF forces in clover on the other side and still have not been able to rule beyond a few pockets of green zones in the country. The joke is that by day it is a mirage and by night the Taliban rule the ground. So please explain how you would do it, if you were in Pakistan's shoes? Yup thought so, no answers.

wow, you expect answers too early. do you think I was waiting for you to post?

Anyways, Americans wished to garner the support of Pakistan in dealing with the SWAT and other areas but the borders being so porus you do not expect them to seal the borders in 10 years or you think it was possible?

1.2 billion in any scenario is not peanuts for Pakistan my dear your total military budget is 5 billion. Also, I read somewhere that they spent close to 20 billion on air conditioning alone these past years. They are an expensive army, their equipment is expensive so please do not compare yourself with them, sounds very silly. Your argument does not stand ground when the Pakistani army knows the lay of the land but Americans started afresh...

Sorry Buddy but did not understand a word of what you are trying to say.

You need to clear your head before trying to write a cogent argument against my post.

I think in a way you are agreeing with me. However, at the same time you are pinning all responsibility on Pakistan.

Then you say that 1.3 billion is not peanuts because PK military budget is 5 billion and then you state some garbage about 20 billion on air conditioners are you refering to PK or ISAF? If you are stating the ISAF that is my point they live in clover yet expect PK to seal a porous border.

As the occupying force it is by all international norms and laws the job of the occupying force to maintain the borders not the job of Pakistan. Does India leave their western border to Pakistan or does it spend a considerable amount of money and sweat manning their own border and likewise in Pakistan too.

The Afghan-Pak border is porous hence the word porous is used and it is nigh on impossible for Pakistan to seal, no money or equipment to do so, hence over to the Yanks to do their own job themselves.

But that requires coming out of the air conditioned green zones.

Well what can one expect when it was very clear what I meant based on your response.

You need to clear your head before trying to write a cogent argument against my post.

I am sorry if you felt I was agreeing to your concept of Pakistan doing their best.

I stated a fact implying that their military is pretty expensive since you compared $1.2 billion with their spending of 200 billion as if everything else was same.

Does India leave their western border to Pakistan or does it spend a considerable amount of money and sweat manning their own border and likewise in Pakistan too.
If they had the sole responsibility, then why is Pakistan taking the money? They paid you money to do something and if you do not do that well then who is to blame? Heard the relation of Employee and Employer

The Afghan-Pak border is porous hence the word porous is used and it is nigh on impossible for Pakistan to seal, no money or equipment to do so, hence over to the Yanks to do their own job themselves.

And Pakistan has been living with that porous borders for 65 years now and even used it many times for your foreign policy so are you trying to tell me that US will have more idea about the lay of land? They have done a lot which Pakistan could not do, like killing many known terrorist even inside Pakistan, so please your argument is childish at best..
