Mate, for the love of god... In Pakistan is a trend to call parks national parks, it usually means that these parks are maintained either by the army heritage trust or the municipal government as opposed to private parks.

Ayub National Park: Its in a residential colony in Rawalpindi

Jinnah National park, again in the municipality of Rawalpindi but called a "national" park:

Race Course National Park, Lahore:

Hill National Park, Karachi:

So tell me! Are these not urban parks?

Well, i do not know much about Pakistani literature.
National Park globally means:
A national park is a reserve of natural or semi-natural land, declared or owned by a government, set aside for human recreation and enjoyment, animal and environmental protection and restricted from most development

We call that a nature reserve... And i already explained the reason why "Pakistanis" call certain parks, national parks. So i don't really see the reason to "lol"...
