If Khan alone is enough then why he had to gather other parties garbage into his own party. This alone theory does not work in politics.
Because we don't have a Presidential system and Pakistan's politics is extremely complicated. In KPK, if you look at PTI's MPA' MNA's, they were literally nobody's before they were given PTI's tickets. No names with PTI tickets beat heavy weights from PPP and ANP in 2013 and 2018 elections. Why? Because the politics of KPK is different then that of Punjab, Sindh or Balochistan where you need heavy weights to fight.
Punjab is a different ball game. You need money, influential families who are strong enough to fight an election. While personally they may have a vote bank of 40-50K, that alone is not enough to win the election and they need PTI or PML-N's ticket to get an additional 50K votes to get over the finish line. There are exceptions in Punjab such as Lahore where PML-N has absolute dominance and anyone with PML-N ticket would win, just like in Mianwali anyone holding a PTI ticket would win.
Thus, you need a mix of party votes and personal votes to win in Punjab. In 2013, PTI gave plenty of tickets in Punjab to newcomers. They were able to get 40-50K votes, not the 100K that is required to win the seat.
Have you ever wondered how many of his real PTI members are now active in politics. How many ministers are from real PTI.
If i look at the list, its a mix of old and new faces. PTI is the only party that is giving new faces a change. Murad Saeed, Hammad Azhar, Ali Muhammad Khan, Shehryar Afridi, Qasim Khan Suri, Furrukh Habib, Shireen Mazari, Asad Umar etc are all new faces.
Look at the entire cabinet and MPA/MNA list in KPK, 80% are new faces.
