University of Lahore expels students for hugging on campus

Rules are made by idiots. This is clearly a moral dilemma for the university. How do you control love.
I would have called the students and told them keep affection private and advise them to make it halal. And then enjoy life
Marriage option is open but without any religious contract Islam does not allow any physical relation between genders. It is known to all any violation which is contradictory to our moral/religious values should be discouraged. The burger people of this country have forgotten their moral or religious values. That's sad and more sad thing is sane people on this forum are supporting the couple.

.
These students unfortunately forgot that most of the universities in our country our hubs of terrorists and extremists, sectarian killers, pseudo intellectuals, political party ghundas, fanatic mullahs, and the like. Yahan do number log har do number kaam kertay hain, but aisi cheezain inn say hazam nai hoti.

What is even more shameful is that the educated members here are vilifying these two students. Pathetic state of affairs, and I see no hope for the general awaam of this country.

Shows the Zehni beemari plaguing most of our population, as a result of education from Saudi funds. Yahan IBA graduates ki jagah terrorists paida kerta hai who killed the owner of T2f on the basis of their convulted religious perceptions, but nobody dared to question that institution. Yahan Mashal Khan jaisa banda can be lynched in a university, and the perpetrators of the crime are nowhere to be seen.

Sad state of affairs.
If IBA is a brothel then we should shut down such educational institutes rather we should open institutes to teach general public about social and moral responsibilities first. The act of couple can't be justified by other lame excuses every one involved in any sort of illegal/immoral activity should be dealt with iron hand. Boss I am also facing abusive behavior from a colleague who is graduate of a top Uni of Pakistan but at social or moral level the behavior is much unethical with usage of below belt tactics. That's why we should teach the real spirit of religion and society at home to children first rather than just sending them to best educational institutes as unfortunately IBA may be a top class business institute but I don't think they have any humanities subject in their curriculum.

It is not about being liberal at all. The point is you are giving the libtards fuel due to all the none sense moral policing going on. You rant about western liberalism but did you even discuss the level of underground homosexuality, sexual frustration, pedophilia, and addiction to pornogrophy which is abundent in Pakistan today?

Who says about moral policing? Its about protection of our culture, our ways and our norms. Just like west is going absolutely bonkers when it comes to banning hijab, as they feel its a encroachment in their ways and lifestyle, its the same case here in Pakistan. Public affection is not our way. Understand this.

As for the rest of the ills, they are irrelevant in this discussion as they got their own origins and solutions. Dont confuse and stay on topic.

We have every tom, dick, and harry ready to rant but little solution is listed to the problems our boys/girls face today. We have went so far to push away basic human nature that most of our people are no different than animals now.

That is the case of the world by en large. We should be more vigilant as we are an "Islamic" republic and protection of moral values is must. If not by consent then by force of law, just like banning of hijab in western countries.

It is easy to rant against western values, but the fact is there is far more of the above evil today in Pakistan than the west.

Spare me the BS but as we speak, there are huge protests going on in UK over the rape and killing of a girl by none other then a policeman!

A very simple solution to the problem would be to follow Turkeys, UAEs, or Malaysias example. Which is to not allow moral policing. Pakistani people should learn not to judge others especially when it does not affect their own lives.

Solution is simple. Through education, specially in early years where students are taught the morality and social etiquettes of Islamic republic of Pakistan. So get off this "moral policing" non sense, there shouldn't be any need if people are educated enough to behave accordingly , inline with the social values and customs.

Oh our culture my arse. Most of Pakistani culture is no different from that of hindu culture. If you wanna go over the corruption of our culture then go after the things that matter ie castes, dowry system, wannabe liberals, extremist who think they are arab, etc... instead you are being a crusader against a young couples love as if you yourself never had desires...

You yourself are a perfect reflect of the Pakistani state today... a moral crusader who prob indulges in corruption, homosexuality, and preverse ideals behind the scenes...

I don’t think the couple gets out scot free based upon their violation of university rules - but absolutely agree on the state of Pakistani society .. corrupt in every possible sense , be it morality, ethics or plain capacity to speak and acknowledge truth.

Forget copulating couples (although that is a Pakistani obsession), if you check some of the corruption cases NAB is tackling it is no more than just people making up cases in thin air to show work done and get promotions.

The entirety of Lahore’s political class frequents brothels by paying for sex but since these students did it willingly the supporters if that political class will lynch them than their facade of piety.
I absolutely don’t condone what these kids did, but in terms of priorities the Pakistanis display in tackling issues only speaks to their status as a failed nation or at best a hell on earth where every day is no better than the last one.

Inflation, unemployment and corruption all take a backseat to these guardians of Islam.

Problem is... most couple who get married usually get married in high school/college. Reason being is very simple... that is when they have the most interaction with the opposite gender. That is something no one can or should control. If I had a son/daughter id much rather them marry their highschool/college sweetheart than indulge in online dating later down the line.

From my own personal experience there are soooo many muslim women who are now in their 30s-40s, indulging in online dating, which leads to even experimenting with the same sex. The reason I am not against this couple is because in their time and place it was the best place to get married, judging from personal experience.

At the end of the day no one can be forced into an arranged marriage, at the same time it is good that they are open and decided upon marriage in order to go away from any haram desires. We are quick to judge their desires but dont accept that marriages are made in heaven and in this case this couple did the best thing because now they are not going against Islam going forward.

Because as Pakistanis the concept of sex education is somehow linked to violation of Islamic principles when nothing of that sort exists or infers to it.

But there are other issues in the society too such as the requirement to be financially stable before marriage props up - that meant multiple defined social ages for marriage and hence any sexual activity. Unfortunately, segregation has no impact on this as the many girls that vault their colleges to go on dates today and even 20 years ago will testify. The west doesn’t suffer this because sex isn’t a taboo but each society has its own problems with it.

If you’re going to put young people of the opposite sex within proximity of each other, chances are that pheromones will take over.

Exactly, that was my point in particular. The more we push back against basic human nature the stronger the blowback... look at our women today who are participating in the aurat march, they are flaunting the french flag as if that is their own national flag... the flag of a nation who has does more harm to muslims than even the US/Russia combined.

and what is our response to that? more judgement, more useless crackdowns which serve no purpose. We as a nation are pushing ourselves to an endless pit downwards.

Unfortunately, Pakistani society is still too patriarchal and dogmatic to really understand any of these ideas. It takes education and exposure of which the combination of both is a very very rare commodity in Pakistan. Prior to leaving Pakistan I did not take these criticisms lightly and had similar knee jerk reactions until I stepped out of the bubble and actually saw the contrast. By no means it implies that western societies are perfect or shining beacons of morality and justice. They have much more diverse and deeply embedded issues, but that the general focus of 50.0001% in society is still to be just and moral.
That is all that counts.

Hugging, kissing in public, showing affection in public is somehow 'civilized' and 'modern'. The students should be 'free' to express their is love is somehow a very liberal value.

This shows how stupid Pakistanis are when it comes to their identity and values. You dont need to do all things Western and you can still be respected and held in high esteem.

There is generational inferiority complex borne by our colonized minds that everything West does is modern and we must follow it blindly. You question it and you are instantly branded Jamaati or regressive.

Its a sad reflection on our society. If you really want to be modern and follow West, learn to be honest, truthful, have social justice in your society, learn work ethics from West. These are the values which made West the power it is today, not lewd public behaviour. We tend to only adopt West's decadence, not its strengths.

These ironically are values taught by the deen part of Islam. And now tell me who is jaahil? The one who doesnt know what our religion tells us or one who points this out and exhorts not to emulate every value of the West?

Yes. When white masters ban hijab they say their country, their rules. But P@ki slaves with no identity will copy whities even if they allow pedophilia (there was a party in the white master country of the Netherlands that was in favor of this despicable act). So much self-hate cannot be healthy.

One question for our open-minded, justice seeking liberals of Wokeland: you know what the official name of our country is?

Muslims are silenced in their own country and the only argument the woke mob has is: at least it’s not rape or murder! Like you are a rape advocate if you don’t agree with unislamic behavior. Got it!
And to those who say it’s a non-issue: yes, it’s a non-issue but leftist scum is using this incident for their propaganda against Islamic values and this cannot be a non-issue in a country build in the name of Islam.

Pakistan without Islam = division by zero

These liberal ideas and mindset, I am always at odds with them and people who hold such thinking. I do see them as biggest hypocrites.

This particular issue is not about love/hate or relationships, its to do with our culture and values. There are certain limitations which society has imposed on itself through its evolution. There is no free for all licence, try to screw in public places in western countries and if get caught, see what police do to you. Public affection is not part of Pakistani culture, there are no ifs and buts here, everyone knows the rules.

Coming to hypocrisy part, liberals all over the world, not just in Pakistan are against hijab and giving justifications that its not really an Islamic rule rather something which evolved as a social and culture norm in Muslim world. They give all sort of reasons and historical references to this effect. So when western countries are banning Hijab through legislation, they are in effect, according to liberal ideas about Hijab, banning Muslim culture in their societies. I mean for crying out loud, Switzerland just recently outlawed Hijab where there are around 30 odd women in whole country known to be hijabi!

Say Pakistan bring in a law tomorrow, to protect our values, culture and outlaw anything which is imported , like western culture, would you guys support such laws in Pakistan? Because frankly speaking, there is a pin drop silence among liberal circles about banning of Hijab in western countries. If it is acceptable for west to protect "their ways and social behaviours" its should be the same for Pakistan to secure its own culture.

I ll just ignore this load of crap that you wrote. Since when people like you have started labelling others as liberals.

Spare me the bullshite, now comparing Pakistani culture to hindu! Lost your marbles?

Have you actually lived in Pakistan? For how long? Becuase your diatribes are getting funnier with each reply. Clueless junkie with no clue about social fabric of Pakistan. This, in my time, was unthinkable. A graceful distance was maintained on most occasions and that was the beauty of our ways. No one is born angel, what you do in private is your own concern, but when you bring your filth out in public, then it's no longer your personal matter, your actions will effect me and those I care. I would feel cringe, disgust and anger if I see this shite happening infront of me, my family, kids, mother and sister. This is not public kanjar khana, this is Pakistan, behave.

And what next, where this will lead to? You like minded maggots further down the line will be endorsing people screwing in public, saying "how cute, what a lovely sight, see how they are expressing their love to each other, oh dont worry, they are consenting adults, they are just making babies".

Take a hike, you sound like a faggot who has been deprived of his weekly doze. Calm down.

I judge by ideas expressed, and dont worry, your are not important and I was not seeking your reply. Was just correcting and giving point of view from opposite side.
