Who's Winning Guys ??????????????

On a lighter note, Trump say : Yeh jo Gunda gardi hai , Is ke peche Wardi hai :D
It's pretty clear now that Biden is the winner. He has 264 seats, and only requires 1 more state to go dem. He has that with Nevada, and possibly Penn and Georgia.

No question that Biden will be softer on the H1B Visas than Trump. But @Microsoft is also correct: Biden is much more likely to sort of normalize relations with China and Iran, which is good for Pakistan.

While he could soften the H-1B Visa requirements and limits, if he goes to far the Republicans can rally around this just as Trump did. Remember Trump was repugnant in the way he spoke and bad character. But if the Republicans find a better and qualified candidate and use immigrants as a target they can come back. They know the immigrant punching bag will always work.

India has been kick out recently from Washington’s Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), I doubt there will be any FTA between India and USA because of that.

I don't want Biden as president in fact. What you say is correct and is one of the many reasons I'd rather not have Biden as president. However if Biden wins... we get a few more Indians but China might do Galwanx100 to India and Biden would not look in their direction. Biden is very unreliable for India due to his history of favoring China and Trump is the opposite due to his anti-China policies.

Let's just wait and see what will be Biden's approach towards India. I am fairly certain he would be more open to India relation than even Trump. India will get better trade deals under him. With regard to India - China war, you are simply overestimating China's capabilities vis a vis India. I don't want to engage in debate with you on this. Let's just wait and see.

Good post.
You, @Aspen and @FuturePAF among other have made some great contributions in this thread. So glad this didn't turn into another India vs Pakistan or Martians vs Jupiterens etc etc. Haha!

There is a pall of gloom in my Conservative circle all day today. And my Liberal friends are awaiting my explaining to do about my treachery voting for the Dark Side by voting for Trump. I will explain in honest way. They know that in 2016 I didn't vote for Hillary because of her involvement in the destruction of Libya--I voted for The Green Party then. This time for Trump--but the vote was inconsequential in my State because Trump was assured a big victory anyway. But I did vote for a Dem. Senator nominee to try to dislodge the war-mongering Senator Lindsey Graham--that was supposed to be a tight race but alas! Oh, where we live anytime Graham's name is mentioned the talk goes like 'He is gay but just doesn't disclose it'. Haha!
Trump going to loose and Lindsay Graham Wins someone having a Bad day. He be senator for 6 years. He must have something that he keeps coming back. But he and late McCain were the only friends of Pakistan. War Mongers.
He brought lots of $$$ to the military and businesses supporting Defence industry and people like him for that.

If Trump looses it will be a sad day for India. Who will protect them from China? I have seen Indian immigrants on republic tv talk about how much protection Trump has given to India by being anti-China.
It will be interesting to know Biden Kamala policy towards China.

Two years down the line, you'll regret ever wanting Biden as President. He'll be worse than Obama for you lot. Mark my words.

Biden would increase H1-B's. He would alter green card system to fast track citizenship to them. India and Indians will have a bigger say on who gets elected from then on. China and US paths are destined for confrontation no matter who becomes president, only a fool would want to leave India dry. Let's see how the next 4 years will be for India. Next up is India-US FTA.

Biden promises to reform H-1B visa system, eliminate country-quota for green cards

Biden also directly said that he would cooperate with China on climate change and trade. His son also is an investor in China. With the current economic downturn and coronavirus pandemic employers don't want to take risks or wait for H-1Bs.

Indian Americans are pretty powerless politically, far weaker than Chinese Americans. Witness how lawsuits blocked WeChat and TikTok bans while Modi was treated like an outlaw for a decade.

The gap between India and China is far larger than the gap between China and US. US can't fix you.

Indeed, at the same time Trump has made significant progress toward ending the war in Afghanistan, an effort that will most likely continue even if Biden wins. But if Trump wins again the process will probably be completed faster and Pakistan should have a more stable western border. So it's win-win as far as Pakistan is concerned.

Trump had imposed restrictions and limits on H1 visas. Biden will remove those and reduce the Salary caps

True but he has kept China busy in the Pacific region + economic battle which gives India more leverage to harm China.

With regards to India-China conflict I'm going based off of what I saw Indians saying thats why I cited republic tv.

Trump was a unique character who was not only charismatic but also was able to tap into the deep rooted xenophobia in America. I don't see anything like him on the horizon. And maybe that's not a bad thing for the long term future of America.

I don't want to get deep into the H1B Visa and the so-called 'offshoring' of jobs in this thread to derail it...

But I DO fear a big backlash against ALL who's not white if Trump loses. All kind of conspiracy theorist is going to find plenty of 'material' within last 24 hours--a Trump victory turned to a Trump defeat. Believe me: This is not over. When I said these elections are as pivotal as the 1860 ones it was not some hyperboly.

This quote is an example of why India will always be a third rate underling. Difference between India and China is, While India boasts about sending their best and brightest to work in foreign countries developing other economies, China wants it's best and brightest back to work in China making China stronger.

It’s possible there will be back lash and could be mostly in Red States as Blue States diversity is a strength as long your in bigger cities and stuff.

As for someone like Trump the Indiana Tom Cotton comes to mind who could easily tap into deep rooted hate and use his military background to hammer it home. The other is that Ex Secretary of State I believe was Kentucky or Oklahoma, that squared face looking guy.

Tom Cotton, Steve Bannon, John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Marco Rubio, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert.

2024 is coming. This is just the beginning.

@Indos

This is where you're gonna see Biden surge in PA, 1 million mail in ballots left to count and he needs 2/3 of them to get a comfortable lead by the end.

India's Best and Brightest (Lol) also propels a $150 billion export industry. And India's best and brightest is not limited to about 100000 people a year that goes to America or to only 4 million people who work in IT industry as a whole. India is much much bigger than that.

Also Service Industry is different to manufacturing as it is more human centric. Human services cannot be manufactured. Like it or not, India and China both depends on US market albeit slightly different.

So good luck to China under Biden.
