Oh yes, every one knows that the veto is waiting, if it ever goes that far. Have no doubts that India too will vote against any invasion plans. The problem is that they know it too and so may take another route, the NATO route. In such case, Turkey, a NATO member will oppose it but Turkey will be sidelined.

Considering the US, do you really think that the US cares much about the UN. The UN is nothing more than a playing field for powerful nation, for their political and international gain. The UN doesn't care much for small or poor countries if they did then they should strip away the security council and allow all nations to vote on the issue. If the US want to it will attack Iran, there is no stopping it, neither China nor Russia would come to rescue by sending in troops the most they would do is give financial and equipment help and condemn the attacks. Because they themselves don't want a war with the US.

Thank you for understanding my point. If oil supplies are blocked, it becomes a concern of national security for you as you can't just replace 400.000 pbd you inport from Iran.

Exactly, that is why India can't let the war happen. Nor can China for that matter.

Well if Russia can send Ships and subs to Syria they can send more to Iran since both are neighbors. Imho Iran is more important to Russia than Syria.

the one thing India will be doing right now is building reserves and importing as much oil as it can ... before USA tests her new weapons in Iran ,.. ... and besides that India can do nothing about it .. first Israel is a dear frnd....and USA is kind of Bully in school which dont bother us much so better we dont come in his way .. ... i think India should buy all cheap oil iran is exporting and build reserves of iranian oil for almost 4-5 months before the Israel with USA takes out the nuclear installations in Iran ... good luck to Isreal ...

Would you condemn a unilateral military action by US or Israel?

I think India would surely condemn any "unilateral military action" not sponsored by the UN , this is in line with our foreign policy .But if it has the blessings of the UN then its a different matter altogether !
