What's new

Under pressure but not down , PM Nawaz Sharif rightly asks USA stand with Pakistan against India !

The only thing that is sure is that international geopolitics will carry on as always. USA remains a global superpower, and you can hope and pray all you want, it will continue to pursue its national interests as best as it can, not just in the South China Sea or the Middle East, but all over the world. Of course, all other countries, such as Pakistan and China, will do exactly the same and work to further their own national interests. If Pakistan's interests coincide with USA's, there will be co-operation. If not, there will be opposition. Just like always.
Hi,
Well lets the hope the greed for national interest or should i say natural resources does not exhaust the US's arm of foreign policy extension

As I said before, hope and pray all you want, it is your right. But all countries only follow their national interests. There is nothing wrong with that.

Hi,

So much for champion of freedom !

Then why is it wrong to converge religion with state? If its in interest of some country ?

Your posts sounds like might is right

If you read my posts elsewhere, I have indeed said that if Pakistan wants to indoctrinate its children by choosing religious ideologies as part of its education system, as a sovereign nation, it does have that right, if it thinks it serves Pakistan's national interests, There is nothing wrong with that either. Of course, all such decisions, including mixing matter of religion and state, all have their associated costs. As long as a nation can afford the costs of its decisions, it is quite alright by me.

The logic as I have described above remains impeccably correct and fair, no matter what name you chose to call it by.
Hi,

Highly subjective term. What is Fair for you will not be necessary fair for others. But since we live in civilized world where super power choses to ignore the norms that it has itself created to suits its own interest.

Pursuing national interests is than no different than fighting in name of religion or fighting under a terrorist commander who is seeking to establish his own rule.

Absolutely correct. I agree with you here. No matter how one cloaks it, it is the pursuit of interests that motivates it all.

Hi,

Ofc there is nothing, and there will be nothing. You simply cant impose, force unjust war on others.

The more force you apply, the equal opposite reaction you get

well while I am a bit' confused as to, whether to understand or simply sympathize at your thinking , what you my dear , need to understand is , that the Key word here is Equal , which i am afraid is not the case between the U.S & Pakistan
in fact far from it

Hi,

My dear don't stress out here. There is absolutely no sense in going head on with a super power, You would be fool to do such.

If I see a person twice my size, I will never go against him on head to head challenge. rather I will seek to exploit his weaknesses by joining him. If you cant beat them join them.

And the analogy was used in the context of Afghanistan. US never had direct engaged conflict with PAK

International geopolitics deals with the relentless pursuit of national interests, that is all.
Hi,
which revolves around humans and its laws.

That is why we have UN and other organisation in place which seeks to explore and even out primitive mentality

So do you think that what the UN does is somehow "right"? It only follows the same rules of international geopolitics as all other entities.
