Turkish Air Force jets have struck a meeting of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) members, including high-ranking officials, close to the Iraq-Iran border, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Kanal 7 television. “With the latest operations, we struck a very important meeting point of theirs. We haven't received the results yet, but it is certain that they have been hit,” Erdogan said. The military is now conducting an assessment of the raid, in which 20 Turkish jets hit at least 10 “important” targets in Qandil, Iraq.

Several locations are being hit in Kandil mountains. If we only look at the location we can assume that those were high level meetings. We can conclude that even leaders of the rank of Murat Karayilan, Cemil Bayik, Fehman Huseyin, Duran Kalkan are possibly hit. I am personally expecting that we at least killed some important field commanders. The best to do right now is to wait for official information from TSK. It also can take time for the intelligence to confirm the kills because per some sources 100-120 terrorists participated in those meetings.

I somehow doubt any of their leaders are still in Iraq at this point. The operation was started way back in 2017 but the important phase started only a few months ago and as the elections close in the government is once again trying to use the terror card to get votes from conservative/nationalist people.
