As usual, the US wants to blame all the ills in the world including the Ukraine war on China.

So China is praying that Russia lose the war as Russia winning the war will imply China losing Russia to the West?

To be honest, for China, it doesn't really matter if Russia wins or loses Ukraine, Ukraine war itself is a very controversial topic among the Chinese public, some are pro Russia, some are pro Ukraine.

I say China should stay way from this Ukraine mess.

Let Russia lose the war and get balkanized then China should annex Eastern Russia and get a foot hold in the Arctic region.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday he contacted the Chinese leadership and "asked them not to provide any support to Russia" in its war against Ukraine.

"My hope is that the government in Beijing will maintain a pragmatic attitude, otherwise we risk World War III – we are all aware of that," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Italian daily la Repubblica.

Ukraine has always had an "excellent relationship with China" and it is "in everyone's interest not to worsen it," he added.

While China is considered among Russia's key supporters, it has not yet provided military support to Moscow. The US, however, maintains that China could soon supply weapons.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to CBS television on Sunday of information that China was "considering providing lethal support" to Russia. When asked what he meant by that, Blinken replied, "Weapons, primarily weapons."

In addition, Zelenskyy criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for repeatedly seeking talks with Russia. "It will be an unsuccessful dialogue. In fact, Macron is wasting his time. I have come to the conclusion that we are not able to change the Russian attitude," the Ukrainian president said.

Even if Russia lost Ukraine war ( which I don't think is likely), Russia is still Russia, wounded but not dead, so we never worry that much, Nato won't come to our gate. If Russia wins, there's a chance for peace between Russia and the west, if Russia loses, based on the past record, Russians will always seek revenge, then the Russia-west feud will live on indefinitely. A wounded tiger is the most dangerous tiger, and the west and Nato will be kept extremely busy ever since.

Russians tried but west don’t see Russia as a friend. Evangelical in their end of time beliefs , believe forces from Russian to be their foe. So it’s more than geopolitics.

I don't see Ukraine is winning the war for now. China will supply more stuff to Russia if there is any sign that Russia is losing.

Nah they don’t do that. Chinese will continue spewing worthless anti western propaganda to please Putin. As price for unlimited friendship the Chinese buy Russia oil and gas with 50 percent discount. Then sell Chinese cars, smartphones, fridges to dumb Russians with 50 percent price increase. Russia will face unprecedented decline and poverty.

While Putin cuts every tie with the West, Xi will trade more with the West. And buy more overpriced French bags.
