Ukraine received British Westland Sea King HAR.5 helicopters. Multi-purpose helicopter Westland Sea King, is a modification of the American Sikorsky S-61 / SH-3, Sea King was developed in 1967. Sea King helicopters were built until the mid-nineties, as they were in operation, the helicopters were gradually decommissioned. By mid-2010, the British Armed Forces decided to abandon them. In 2015, the Sea King search and rescue helicopter was withdrawn from service. The cargo-passenger version of the helicopter can accommodate 25 seated passengers or up to 9 victims on a stretcher. For self-defense, the Sea King helicopter was equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun. The helicopter can reach speeds of over 210 km/h. and has a range of 1200 km.
