For once, I'm in complete agreement with you. Even if the purpose of your post was merely to rub it in, there is nothing in the content that I disagree with. I cringe every time my fellow countrymen react this way. One must always be thankful for any aid that is given & if we find ourselves in a position of not requiring/wanting that aid, we must refuse it with our utmost thanks. Behaving in any other manner only shows a basic lack of decency & of context. Accepting aid is our decision & once accepted, it does not become of us to spit in the face of the aid giver. If we, for whatever reason believe that the reasons for the aid are not genuine then it is incumbent on us to follow through on our misgivings. A billion pounds is not to be scoffed at. Even if it helps only a extremely small number, it still helps!
India is not getting those aid per se.... India NGO's is getting both are 2 different things. Those NGO's are predominantly running by christian missionaries they won't randomly help poor people first they use poverty as weapon and force them(poor hindus) to convert into Christian. So those funds indirectly utilizing to popularize Christian religion among poor people in India.
Stopping those funds actually not our concern.
LOL at india.... their bragging about MMRCA has not only made them lose foreign aid (read: colonialism reparations owed) from the UK, but they still don't even have the Rafale deal yet. Most likely there will be no Rafale deal at all, and india will have to do the whole bidding again.
Wouldn't it be funny if India announced an aid package for the UK?
That would be funny, but Indians have got wisened up. They are buying up (not so small) bits and pieces of British businesses and Britain itself. So the British PM and Ministers, even Royalty spend so much time wooing Indian investments. Just to keep British people employed.
This aid should be considered as colonial reparations for India. UK is compensating India.
The UK will have to sell itself if it came to compensating India.
They looted us, whole of Indian subcontinent, for about 300 years.
They would become bankrupt if they came to compensate for their loot.
Why not invest the money in India and keep Indian people employed instead?
Yes it is aid, aid to compensate for India's colonial past. Had Hind never been colonized by Britain do you think Britain would be giving this "aid" today? Most likely not.

Unemployment as a problem in India exists only for the criminally lazy. We face a labour shortage (that's right - labour shortage)of enormous proportions. In Karnataka at least, anyone talking of unemployment would be laughed at. Almost every single industry is facing this strange situation. Btw, it's not a problem only of skilled & semi-skilled workers, it's a problem of every type of labour. The rural areas are actually facing a worse situation with people migrating to cities. Industry is actually finding a growth constraint because of this shortage. So, contrary to common wisdom employment is not that much of a hassle if you really want to work.
